Went by the store to buy some strings at 6:30pm. The place was closed. The bald guy would not let me in. Unbelievable! This place continues to disappoint. The blue guitar in the window is sweet. It must be the wife of the pink daisy rock.

I have taken guitar lessons here for over 10 years and glad to say that the teachers are great! Walpole Music has a Huge selection of guitars to choose from all the way from high end Yamaha Acoustics to Moderately priced Yamaha Gig makers(yes package included on the Gig makers). They Carry 3 different Acoustic Guitar lines: Yamaha, Johnson and Ibanez. They Carry Fender, AXL, and Ibanez electric guitar lines, and they have a huge selection of Ukes to select from. Not to mention they carry Vandohren and Rico Sax and clarinet Reeds. they have Hard-shell cases and gig bags and the selection of books they have is huge! and even if they don’t have something you need. they are happy to order it in for you at NO extra charge. Repair work is top notch and prices on repairs are delightfully priced! If you are looking for a great little mom and pop music shop for all your musical needs Walpole Music Studios is the place to go.

I’m man enough to admit when I’m wrong. I had a review of this place up that was kind of bitter because I paid a steep price to have a pickup installed and electric tape was used instead of solder. More than the actual TV Jones Pickup cost me, and it was installed upside down. But, I recently purchased a beat up Fender and dropped it off to have a once over. They stripped the whole guitar down, cleaned it for free, and hooked me up with a guy to get my frets redressed for an extremely reasonable price. Someone had spilled coffee in the guitar, dropped it, ruined the strap buttons and replace one with a beer bottle cap… I mean, this guitar needed more work than it was probably worth, but it held sentimental value to me. The only thing I was charged for was the Frets, and that guy didn’t even work in the store. So they did all that just to help me out, and that is not something you’re going to get anywhere else. The service is always incredible in the store. Smiles for miles from everyone involved. I haven’t had lessons there, but if their customer service skills speak for their educational abilities I can’t imagine this being a bad environment to learn in. If I had taken lessons there I probably would have made it past the third one all those years ago. Before the pickup install and way before the Fender I bought an Ibanez Artcore semi-hollowbody. The price was completely unreasonable for a small local store. It was lower than guitar center, and on par with Musician’s Friend’s used prices. I don’t understand how they stay in business. I bought a strap there the other day for 10 bucks that is 15 on Amazon. They are also willing to order what you want, and the selection is unbelievable for such a small space. Drums, amps, ukes, harmonicas… So I was wrong. Everything this place has done aside from the pup installation has been above and beyond anything I could have expected.

Awesome place, I went in to pick up guitar strings, Greg was extremely helpful, asked me the right questions to assess my needs, and made excellent recommendations. He is up front and is genuinely interested in the customer. Not to mention, it is a cool little store, to me, which is how music stores should be. I am very likely to return here for my music needs. You don’t get great customer service every day, but Greg at Walpole Music Studio was top notch. Visit them!

I went in to purchase some Christmas presents in December and was amazed by the customer service. The man working with me took his time and answered all my questions, which were many.

My son(8 years old) used to take guitar lessons here. My son was on his third lesson at the studio when the instructor told him«you shouldn’t be asking me this question at this point». After three lessons of anything are you still going to have simple questions??? Absolutely !! I was waiting just outside and heard the whole conversation. Way to encourage !!!

awesome store. It’s a little small, but it’s got a lot of cool stuff. I used to go here back when I played clarinet to get reeds, since mine would break a ridiculous amount of times. Then a few years later I went to buy a new electric guitar, and the guys were really helpful, they were really nice too. It’s a pretty cool place. mostly some random guitars like Squier Strats, Epiphone SG’s and some other stuff. also it’s got drum stuff, acoustic guitars, sheet music, said reeds, and other cool stuff.

aww! i took guitar lessons here way back when! it’s a tiny shop, but the owners are friendly, funny, and of course talented musicians! They sell alot of unique guitars and drum sets, from what i remember. This small business truly cares for its customers!
