I’m normally not one to write reviews on Unilocal,I’m definitely more of just a reader. However, the service I received from Ali Schloesser was impeccable. She was professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, she kept me informed constantly. She called herself an «over-​communicator», I call it excellent customer service. I have a normal 9 – 5 job so I wasn’t able to see some of the homes until 7pm or even later… this wasn’t a problem for Ali. She scheduled every visit at a time that worked for me. All in all, an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend her to my friends and family.

Our realtor was the only one in our area (NH). She was extremely difficult to work with as she had trouble servicing all her clients. She’d often only be available certain days/​times. Normally this isn’t a problem with a real estate agent because they’ll just have someone else from their team show you the listing when you (and the seller) are available. But with this being a small operation, there was no other real estate agent in our area to show us homes. We missed out on a few homes because we saw them too late or by the time our agent was available, there was already an offer on the house. The annoying part was that if we’d see a house on the weekend (specifically Sunday), she’d tell us we were «lucky to see a house on Sunday» seeing as most buyers agents take Sunday off. Umm sorry lady but if you wanted weekends off then you shouldn’t have chosen to work in real estate! Real estate agents should never make their buyer (or seller) feel like an inconvenience. We have never had an agent tell us that weekends they’re «off». If that were the case then there wouldn’t be open houses on weekends! Also there were many times she wouldn’t respond to our emails or phone calls, which was annoying. I will never use this Mickey Mouse operation again. I’d heard the only real estate agents that work here are ones who can’t get jobs elsewhere and now I am starting to see that’s the case.

Let me start by saying how extremely happy we found Cindy Johnson. Not only is she very kind, very knowledgable, not aggressive (unlike other realtors), patient but most importantly she listens to what YOU are looking for.
What makes it even better is that she actually tells you concerns she may have of the property (if any) especially having a toddler which is a plus because those things would never come to mind. To me that shows she cares & we love that. We’re just another client of hers.
Cindy is very informative and is always there to answer your questions. She always tries to make time for you. She is an amazing person to work with and would absolutely refer her to anyone!

I couldn’t say anything negative about this team if I tried. Evelyn Kennedy was amazing. She is the best buyers agent around. She really is more worried about making you happy than making a sale. It was awesome to just email her MLS numbers and get back info. I kinda miss our daily emails. But I am over joyed to be in my first home. And it’s all because of her.

McGeough Lamacchia Realty, Inc. recently helped me sell my property with a short sale. I originally found McGeough Lamacchia Realty, Inc. through a referral from an attorney I am friends with and he said they were great to work with. He was 100% right.
Throughout the process they were incredibly helpful and answered all of my questions promptly. I was very fortunate that the short sale went through quickly and I was able to get out of a house that I owed way more on than it was worth.

Take it from me these guys actually care about the people they are helping. I had a friend that was going through a real bad time in his life and was on the brink of getting his house taking from him. I sent him over to the good guys and they where able to help him short sale it. I’m not saying they can help everyone but I know 1 000 000 000% they will do everything they can.

We are so happy we worked with Jessica at McGeough Lamacchia. When we first contacted her, she made time to see us that evening, and was prepared, prompt, warm, and friendly. We scheduled showings for the next day (a Saturday!) and she was great. We always felt like she had our best interests in mind; she never gave off the icky disingenuous salesman feel that so many realtors do. During the condo buying process, she was always on top of things, and made sure to touch base with us even during quiet times while we were waiting on the seller. Every member of their staff including the owners and external partners they work with are extremely proficient in these types of real-​estate negotiations and beyond! Selling my property was a tremendous challenge with multiple hurdles that would normally cause a deal to crumble. If you are considering a short sale on your home, I highly recommend using McGeough Lamacchia. They have this process down to a science. Trust me, I tried using other realtors and attorneys with no success.
My story:
I had given up any hope of being able work anything out with Flagstar after a year of nothing but frustration and tears while trying to do everything they requested but getting nowhere. It was just by chance that I heard what they had done for a friend so I decided I had nothing else to lose and gave them a call. Right from the very first phone call, I started to regain some hope of being able to do a short sale on the home and salvage what is left of my credit.
Everyone I worked with during this process was wonderful. It was such an amazing experience having so many people that were on my side, pushing to make sure this sale went through. Everytime I called with a question or sent an email, I always received a fast response and they always helped to put my frazzled nerves at ease. They have such an extraordinary staff, EVERYONE was great, I am so grateful to Anthony Lamacchia, Alex Montalto and Dave Karoly for getting this approved through Flagstar, no easy task, but Alex always kept me informed and calmed my fears when time was running out. Just when I thought we were all done fighting with banks, there was the ridiculous list of demands from our buyers bank, but June Schaufus was right there with me, helping me through the process and always keeping me updated. I would get emails from her at 9pm with updates or requests from the bank. She was truly dedicated to helping get this sale through. Angela Walker was also wonderful in answering every question I had about the process and very understanding about my worries but set me at ease each time.
Now that this is all over, I feel like I can breathe again. I have finally moved on with my life and have started planning for my future. It felt like the end to this ordeal would never come, but thanks to McGeough Lamacchia it finally has. I will be forever grateful to them for this.

We just bought a house we’ve been trying to buy through McGeough Lamacchia since October! It finally happened!
When we first started looking for our first home, we saw a lot of condos, and soon after decided that wasn’t for us. We saw some single families, many that looked like they had been used as meth labs. I came to this property that our agent, Ellen Friedman, had found for us one night with Cara. It was love at first dirty sight. The house was a short sale, and had I know what that entailed initially, I probably would have been more afraid. I made an offer immediately, as in, that night. The house was filled with lots of furniture and tenants, the backyard covered in area rugs, but Cara and I saw something amazing in it. We went back again in daylight that weekend and were super excited.
We had the inspection soon after, and while there were issues, we went forward and signed a P&S. McGeough Lamacchia has a track record for faster short sales that how this one worked out, so I don’t believe we’re a great example in regards to speed. We ended up needing to get an appraisal to have the deal approved, and we were happy we did, as it was. The seller’s bank was taking a huge loss, so I totally get why it took a while to go through.
Everyone we dealt with was professional, and if you have a house that you’re upside down on, McGeogh Lamacchia is probably your best chance to get out of the deal without a foreclosure. If you’re doing a short sale, I’d suggest going with a property being sold by McGeough Lamacchia, for sure. It wasn’t an easy or short process, but we love the property so very much.
One word of wisdom: if you’re going with a short sale, make sure you’ve got an AWESOME real estate lawyer. You need that support right away. Having a buyer’s agent with your best interest in heart and who will really listen and assist you anyway possible is also so massively important. Not having those two things and dealing with a short sale would have been a nightmare!
