Have enjoyed lunch here several times. The food is wonderful, and the service is above par. I especially enjoyed a cheese tray which is no longer on the regular lunch menu but can be made up on request. Reminds me of the fabulous cheese I enjoyed in Italy. Looking forward to coming here for dinner in the near future.

Great restaurant. The service was great(very attentive without being overly suffocating) and the food was delicious food — what more can you ask for?

Great restaurant, wonderful food, beautiful covered patio but an obscure location. Almost like it was built elsewhere, helicoptered in and dropped on this random dead end street in Waltham’s tech sector. Fabiano was an amazing server all around from knowledge to warm hospitality and made our evening that much more special. We will certainly return when in the area.

Such a great restaurant. Amazing service — very friendly and attentive. The apps that we ordered were delicious. The meatballs and the arranchini were especially good. Great fish dishes — the salmon was a so fresh and light served on top of a mountain of veggies. I got the halibut which was perfect. The décor is super cool and rustically modern. IF there were 6 stars — Osteria Posto would get them! One of my new favorites in the burbs!!!

This restaurant is quite impressive with its ultra modern décor and easy layout. Its certainly inviting for any occasion. Every single staff member was warm and receptive. We had a business lunch for 14 and our server was Alex. He was so efficient, patient and attentive. There was hardly a wait for anything. I thought the menu could be more extensive but maybe it is for dinner. I had a generous serving of arugula salad with the rosemary chicken and it was really perfect. I will certainly be recommending this restaurant to my friends. Great Job!

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Osteria Posto last night. What a wonderful dining experience and fantastic food. When you walk in, you notice the modern and unique décor. Service is fantastic as well, the staff is attentive, warm, and professional. Our server Robyn was so sweet, she was also very professional and gave great recommendations without being imposing. Compliments to the Chef Joe for the fantastic Cap Steak and whole Branzino fish, both were cook to perfection. fresh ingredients, just the right amount of seasoning, succulent and not over cooked. My husband really appreciates well prepared food(he loves to cook for family and friends), doesn’t matter the cut of it, attention to detail is key he always says. We had a wonderful time(cocktails were top notch also), I was happy that my husband enjoyed his birthday night out. Even the dessert was perfect, we tried the Fig Marscapone Pie with blueberry sauce, WOW. so unique and delicate, kudos to the pastry chef Bee(we had to ask for her name too because my husband said it was the perfect dessert that could not be improved upon!). This place is a must try, we drove a good distance to come here. and it did not disappoint. Thanks to the manager Ken for the birthday plate for my husband’s dessert, and for the nice conversation. Great staff!

Food and service just as wonderful as the Somerville Posto location. I enjoyed every minute of it and the addition of booth seating available here!

Been here six times. Great space and great service. Fantastic addition to the area. All of their apps are great, and their rotating crudos are always good. I’ve had hit or miss experiences with their pastas, so am starting to order their other entrees like the cioppino, the whole roasted fish, or roasted chickem. Havent tried their steaks yet.

Wow — perfect dining experience. We had the lobster tortellini and steak, then for dessert strawberry crostata and tiramisu. Food was fantastic, and steak prepared just to our liking(rare). Drinks included table side negroni, whiskey smash, and two varieties of lemonciello. We also had some flavorful espresso. Wait staff couldn’t have been better or more professional. My favorite part about our waiter and the bussers was how quiet and smooth they were — non disruptive, but appearing at all the right moments. Overall excellent experience.

My colleague and I had an absolutely fabulous experience at Osteria Posto. The food is delectable, service is beyond attentive and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is chic and divine in more ways than one. The ambiance and private function spaces are alluring and incredibly appealing, not to mention the opening of the outdoor patio space soon. Bridget and Shannon are a true delight to work with. Not only are they knowledgeable about the menu and space, but they truly go above and beyond to be attentive and available to clients in scheduling events, mapping out costs/packages, and are incredibly personable. They have an extensive wine list, and make their pasta and ice cream in-house. I would highly recommend their white sangria. Additionally, their bruschetta is an item that absolutely cannot be missed! It’s a must-have, with its sweet whole tomatoes, delicately glazed in balsamic, smooth and creamy goat cheese, and a little kick of spice at the end. Each item was brought out quite promptly, and seemed to come out only a few short minutes after ordering. Quality ingredients are so important in a restaurant of this scale, and they absolutely nail it. I know, for sure, that it will be a perfect rehearsal dinner space for my clients, as I am a wedding an event planner for the Lyman Estate, also located in Waltham. I am beyond thrilled and enthusiastic about this up-and-coming, stunning space!

Amazing, attentive service and absolutely delicious food and cocktails. We had the pork croquettes and bruschetta as an appetizer, the lobster campanelle and gnocchi as entrees, and the apple crostata for dessert– all of which were perfectly cooked and so yummy! Our waitress, as well as the rest of the staff, was attentive and pleasant without being overbearing. I will absolutely be returning! For the record, this is only my second Unilocal review ever– my experience was so great that I felt compelled to share!

I am SOGLAD this restaurant now exists in Waltham — and in a less food-friendly area of town(finally!). I had a fantastic experience here. Only downside was not being able to enjoy all of the food on the menu, because I WANTEDTOTRYEVERYTHING! All of my food companions raved about their entrees, and no one left a morsel of food on their plates! What I did try was fantastic — the tuna tartare appetizer and the salmon entrée were both delicious. We also partook in their dessert menu as well, and I sampled some of the chocolate mousse. Drinks were also great — the waiter was extremely helpful in helping us choose an appropriate Pinot Noir for the table, and we also indulged in their cocktail menu as well. This is an upscale Italian restaurant now situated in a part of Waltham that was desperately in need of such a place. I will absolutely be bringing my clients back here for work dinners, and I recommend that the locals definitely try this place out too!

Great service and delicious food! When I was unhappy with my first meal(it was just too salty for me) they offered to make something else without an hesitation. Thank you! Looking forward to many more work day lunches!

I really, really wanted to like Osteria Posto. We went a month ago for my birthday and again last night. Basically, the food just isn’t that good. Especially when you consider how expensive it is. Our first visit to the restaurant, my daughter ordered the pasta amatriciana. It was so spicy it was literally inedible. She is quite accustomed to eating spicy food, so that was not the issue. I had the cod wrapped in prosciutto and it was delicious. Our main complaint was that everything was much, much too salty. Last night, my husband informed them he has a garlic allergy and I asked for«no extra garlic» because I am now somewhat garlic intolerant. They brought his rib steak out and it was raw-he had asked for it medium. He asked them to cook it more, and they informed us after the fact that they threw it out because it «might have had garlic.» The next steak was also raw-red and cold in the center. Finally they cooked it properly(pink and hot in the center). I was done eating by the time his food arrived. They brought me my cod with no sauce. I asked for the sauce since I never said that I wanted them to change the dish for me. The cod was okay, prosciutto was poor quality, and the thyme-honey sauce was so overpowered by the thyme and salt that it drowned out the fish. Honestly, it just tasted bad. I really did not enjoy it. We had the snap peas with shishito peppers. Again, too salty. The service was lovely. They comped the steak and gave us free desserts. The manager came over to apologize. This is trying to be a place you would go for a fancy meal, but with so many better options in the area that are less expensive, why go there? Stellina will give you a lovely, delicious meal for 2⁄3 of the price. I wish I could give them a good review because the personnel couldn’t be nicer. However, restaurants are about the food, and it’s not worth it.

Right next to 95, both bonelfish and this one are new. Wonder if they have the same owner. Nice decoration. I believe their signature dishes are steaks, and those are about $ 45up. I wasn’t in a mood for large chunk of meat so maybe next time. Other dishes are not price. They have sorts of cheeses, so if you are a fan Service is improvable. My waiter did all he had to, and that’s it. Some people dressed nicely, but I don’t think they have a dress code. Nice spot for a date.

A cool new upscale Italian restaurant in Waltham. Loved the appetizer choices. The mains were largely traditional. I went with an multi-appetizer meal and enjoyed everything. Dessert was also very good. Great food, great ambiance and décor, and excellent service. Parking is tight, getting a space in the front lot can be a little challenging.

A lovely new upscale Italian spot in Waltham(which means parking, yay!) with great charcuterie and a fabulous raw bar. I just love the interior — dark woods with large leather seats give it a really classy and upscale feel. I loved everything we had — the bruschetta, the Burrata(made in house!), gnocchi, and my favorite was the salmon with beet risotto. I thought it was a really creative dish while still maintaining the classic Italian feel. Great service as well. I can’t wait to go back! Also, check out their sister restaurant in Davis Square, Posto. They have fabulous pizza.

GETYOURSTEAKON There are quite a few excellent Italian restaurants in the Waltham-to-Burlington 128 corridor(Il Capriccio, La Campania, Tuscan Kitchen, L’Andana, and Osteria Nino pop to mind), but ONLYONE of them has a Ribeye«Cap» Steak on the menu(8 oz, $ 36). And for steak lovers, that is more than reason enough to rush out to newly opened OSTERIAPOSTO in the expanding CityPoint development. What is a Cap Steak you ask? Well, only the tastiest, most tenderest part of the cow, that’s what. The part the butcher keeps for himself. The tasty tiny edge part of the ribeye that you never knew had it’s own steak name. If you don’t believe me, read what Kenji Lopez-Alt has to say on the subject: Still here? What are you, a Vegan or something??? Get going!!! [Oh, I guess I can add that it’s a beautiful restaurant, not too noisy, with a long bar and comfortable booths/tables, good cocktails, nice Italian/Cali wine list, good pasta, already doing a rip-roaring business, with easy parking in front.]

A truly elegant city style restaurant that is off the highway in the suburbs. It is an elegant facility with nice touches that makes it ideal for a date, a special occasion or an important client meal. When we walked in, the hostess hung our coats. At the table, they brought very fresh Iggy’s bread with a plate of lemony butter covered in olive oil(with a few nice olives). The Italian style food is unique. I had an excellent seafood stew that was a bit spicy. The fish was extremely fresh and flavorful.(it had two very large shrimp.) My wife loved her pasta, which had a pumpkin flavored sauce. She also commented on the beautiful pasta plate that enhanced the presentation. See the photo. I also want to mention the outstanding service. Annie G. was warm, personable and knowledgeable. She really cared about the menu, our interests and more. She made the meal even more special. Thank you, Annie.
