Perry’s Martial Arts Academy

I would like to start by saying I have trained at multiple top notch martial arts gyms in MA/​NH (e.g. Sityodtong Muay Thai in Somerville). I literally live directly across the street from Perry martial arts, but I have no interest in training there. About 1 year ago my girlfriend and I walked in to check it out. We were there for about 1 minute before one of the instructors approached us and asked if he could help us. I told him we were there to observe a class. He told us there are no spectators allowed, asked us to leave, and said we could come back later to ask questions. I have never heard of this. Every martial arts gym welcomes guests to see what the training is like, to determine if the gym is right for them. I left and did not return.
I live in an apartment building across the street. The students from the gym park in the apartment building parking lot (with just enough parking for the for the tenants), because the gym doesn’t have sufficient parking. I have tried talking to the trainer at the gym, and asked him to speak with the students about it. He showed little interest in my request. The students still park in our lot. Either the trainer doesn’t respect his neighbors, or his students to not respect him. Respect is usually at the top of the priority list at a martial arts gym (especially for the community), but clearly not at Perry’s.

Perry’s Martial Arts Academy Kickboxing is the best place to stay fit. Develop your core muscles. You will be pleased as you challenge your own self. You can’t go wrong with two of the best instructors, Reggie & Minda. The more classes you attend you will see a great significant difference with your own strength. Sign up & enjoy.

Update– A year later and Perry’s has actually got even better if possible! They have added more classes to the schedule and made it very easy to get a great workout in. They are always mixing things up to keep it interesting and keep you engaged. I love it here and just signed up for another year of fun at Perry’s!

I never lie on my Unilocal reviews. I take them very seriously so when I give this place 5 stars… It’s a solid 5 stars! I am so lucky to have found this place. The workouts are killer and what is even more important is that the instructors genuinely care about how hard you push yourself. The hour flies by and when I leave I am always satisfied with how hard I worked out. I won’t forget to mention another item that is very important to me «Fresh Beats!!!” — when you pair this awesome kick booty class with awesome music it just can’t get any better. Do you live far away from Waltham??? That’s ok, trust me it’s worth the drive. come check it out

This place rocks! Reggie, the owner, is awesome. Minda instructs too, and she’s also great! You get a super work-​out, the time flies, it’s a blast, and the people who go are a lot of fun. I highly recommend this place for cardio kickboxing! There’s flexible options on how often you want to go, and the times offered are also convenient.
