History
Established in 2002.
L&E Bagels is a family-owned bagel bakery started by Deborah and Mike of Long Island, NY. Their family operates and manages baking, sales, and daily operations. The name L&E was chosen to commemorate the founders’ parents.
Founder, Owner, and head-baker Mike has over 40 years of experience making old-fashioned bagels on long island. His friend and mentor for 30 years, Mr. Leibowitz, taught him the art of making an old fashioned bagel from the age of 13. Our bagels continue in the traditional style and are mixed, proofed, and baked on premises throughout the day.
