History

Established in 2000.

~ Sousa’s Fine Floors was established over ten years ago by Steven Sousa of Granby, Massachusetts.

~He received his training at one of Western Massachusetts old time floor refinishing companies, and acquired master’s level skills and knowledge in the hardwood floor refinishing trade.

~ Steven started up Sousa’s Fine Floors initially to complement his unique schedule; as he has also been an ordained clergyman serving a Western Mass. parish. Sousa’s Floors now occupies most of Sousa’s working hours with his parish work now occupying a part-​time role.

~ Sousa has built up his reputation as a top flight floor refinisher through hard conscientious work and excellent customer service. He has especially catered to home owners and realtors; but has done much excellent work with contractors, non-​profit and commercial client.

Steven S.

Business Owner

~ Steven Sousa was raised and resides in Granby, Massachusetts.

~ Sousa graduated from Granby High School and graduated form U Mass (majoring in Biological Sciences and Education); he also attended and graduated from ecclestical studies where he received pastoral ordination. He has served as parish pastor, and headmaster of Springfield Christian School.

~ Sousa is married, and has nine children and five grandchildrenall who live in the greater Springfield area.

~ Sousa has also worked part time an The Red Fire organic farm in Granby, Ma. He is currently farm store manager and CSA director at Red Fire, and works occasionaly in the greenhouses and fields.

~ Sousa has been a hardwood floor refinisher since 1981 both in full time and part time roles. Having begun Sousa’s Fine Floors over ten years ago it is now his primary occupation.

~ Sousa says he finds deep satisfaction as a family man, pastor, farmer, and floor refinisher; and intends to enjoy all until the day he’s «called Home»
