Robertson Auto Salvage

I just figured that there should be another review to balance out the one poor one… because I think these guys are great!
I was able to find just the part I wanted, but couldn’t tell entirely if it was the right color/​fit from the photos available on Robertson’s website. So I called, and discovered that there was no problem coming down, going into the yard (just need to be sure you’re wearing closed-​toe shoes), identifying the part and then pulling it with my own tools. The staff helped me bring it back out of the yard.
I don’t think that Robertson’s is usually a U-​Pull yard, but the point is that if you call them and are reasonable I think they’ll work hard to help you out. Just what I’d expect from any service-​oriented family business.
Finally, I’ll just add that they have A LOT more inventory than what’s posted on the website. This is a huge place. And to respond to the other reviewer who’s complaining about the lack of weekend hours… well, I’ve found that most salvage yards and old-​school businesses like this are not open on weekends. That may be a bummer, but it’s the industry norm, so I wouldn’t take it out on this place in particular.

First of all what kind of car parts place is closed on Saturday and Sunday? but.. .
I needed two wheels last week, one for my son’s Jeep XJ and a donut spare for my wife’s Nissan Quest. I had the day off on Tuesday so I found the «in stock» part #s online and went there first thing on Tuesday morning. They took the part #s and my $ 90 and told me that they would «try» to have them by the end of the day, I expected that it couldn’t take too long to get a couple of wheels so I left my cell # and waited. No call on Tuesday.. .no call on Wednesday.…no call on Thursday so I called them on Thursday afternoon and was told that they weren’t ready yet but they will get them and give me a call a little later.. .. no call on Thursday no call on Friday morning so I called again because we know that they are closed all weekend and I really think I’ve waited long enough. The wheels weren’t ready but I was assured I could come by after lunch and they would have them. My son went over after school — nearly 4PM and they weren’t ready but they could get them while he waited. after quite a long while they produced a piece of junk for the Jeep (the part I picked out had an «A» rating and they had to refund the donut spare because they just didn’t have it. SO — I waited FOUR days for two «A» graded wheels and ended up with crap. — YOU BE THE JUDGE
