FYI, I’m not surprised. just heard from my best friend that his son got food poisoning after eating lunch from A&G. Seriously Beware. This place is awful

Best deli around! High-quality, fresh food. Just delicious! I recommend the pasta salad(which has fresh tomato and mozzarella in it!) or getting a freshly made sub sandwich. Great service too!

Awesome — Authentic — Fairly Priced You won’t be disappointed with anything you get here. Between the pre made lunch foods or the custom request deli, it’s all good. They have fresh made dinners in the freezer(yet they’re in frozen) and authentic packaged foods(pasta, candy, and others) which are always a good snack. Deliciously made fresh desserts right as you check out! Fresh ravioli /pastas and plenty of cheeses! Really fine foods — definitely stop in if you havnt, I’m a regular

Awesome deli. filled with products that you know are authentic. Got the A&G special on a hero(7.99) and anyone who knows anything about a good sandwich knows that the bread it’s on is make-or-break… A&G’s bread had the perfect amount of chewiness and almost a crunch that was balanced by a cloud-like interior softness. Each meat could stand on its own; each flavor worked so well with one another. I’m salivating just thinking about it… Didn’t try anything else, but the homemade desserts displayed when you first walk in look tempting. Go now. Experience happiness.

When it comes to eating good subs A&G Italian Fine Foods is the place to go. This deli is straight up Italian through and through. A&G starts out with really good Italian bread, or panini and then builds your sub or sandwich from there… For me if the bread isn’t fresh then the sub will just be ok. I ordered # 13 The A&G Special. Sopressata, Prosciutto, Capacollo, fresh mozzarella cheese, with lettuce, tomatoes, and balsamic dressing. It was wonderful! The bread was soft on the inside and firm on the outside. The cold cuts were very fresh and the balsamic dressing along with the greens complemented each other… A&G makes all kinds of Hot and Cold dishes, soups, salads and wraps… They even have a frozen section so u can take their food home. A&G does catering and when your there take a look around at the speciality oil oils, balsamic vinegars, imported pastas, imported San Marzano tomatoes, Italian cookies and homemade desserts… Their prices are good and priced just right. A& G is owned by the same people who own Saly G’s Mountaintop Restaurant… They are just around the corner from each other… A&G deli is located in the same strip mall downtown Warren where Acme and Walgreens are… There is plenty of free parking. The two men that helped me Freddy and Bernan were very nice… The next time I go, I’m going to try their chicken cutlet, or eggplant parm… They both came highly recommended…

This is my favorite A&G. The Spanish workers are hard working, and quick compared to their other locations. They rock. The chicken cutlet sandwich is like crack, add extra balsamic spread and you are good. The grilled chicken ceaser salad is awesome too. No disrespect to the macho Italian dudes who work at the other locations :).

I have only been here once so far but will most definitively go back. I had the classic prosciutto, fresh mozzarella and sun dried tomatoes sandwich — with roasted red peppers on a semolina long roll. It was fantastic and large enough for lunch that day and the next. The prosciutto was expertly sliced thin and was melt in your mouth salty fantastic — likely imported — the fresh mozzarella was milky creamy and just right to offset the saltiness of the meat. And the roasted red peppers and sun dried tomatoes added little bursts of alternating sweet and extra salty flavor pops. Great sandwich!

For the second time in three weeks I have purchased cold cuts, Boars Head ham and turkey, that were spoiled.

Well someone might have been paying attention to Unilocalers! Glad to know these reviews, including mine, are not in vain! Apparently things are on the up side for A&G in regards to staff and their rudeness. Apparently they’ve started hiring some Customer Service Friendly Employees. Yeahhhh! Finally a smile and yes sir, anything else sir, thank you sir! Well at least this has been my experience the last several months worth of visits. Still pricey, but they are delicious! I’m giving them another star!

I want to love this place. But I always feel let down. I have grabbed sandwiches here more than once, every time just ok. They look way better in the case, wrapped and labeled nicely, than they are. I got the chicken cutlet, mozzarella, grilled zucchini, and balsamic sauce. It was prepared, sounded great and looked great too. However, the bread was stale from sitting around, soggy from the cheese, the chicken cutlet was no longer crispy, and the balsamic sauce was just flavored mayo :(… It was not cheap and it was not great. If I were to return I will order something off their sandwich menu and have them make it fresh without being covered in gross mayo sauce.

This is a very good Italian deli located right in the A&P strip mall in downtown Warren. You have to know it’s there or you could easily miss it. They have a bunch of packaged goods, a homemade Italian frozen food section and then the deli. The deli consists of a ton of different items that look absolutely amazing. They even have fresh, hot food that they serve for lunch. They also have a decent fresh bread selection — not sure if it’s baked there or not. My wife and I stopped in here the other day and we wanted to pick up a couple of sandwiches to go. The selection is pretty good. We went with two specialty sandwiches — the Spicy Delight which is basically an Italian sub with capicollo, pepperoni and prosciutto and we also ordered the Warren Special. The Warren Special has roast beef, turkey, ham, swiss, cole slaw and Russian dressing. We ordered both in hero size — the only minor knock I have is that the sandwiches aren’t huge but that is being nit picky. I admit it. You can easily put down a hero by yourself. Both sandwiches were very good and you could easily tell they were made with some higher quality ingredients. I’m honestly not sure which sandwich I liked better as I had half of each. The cole slaw on the Warren special was very good and they used a rare roast beef. Rare roast beef makes for such a better sandwich, in my opinion. The spicy delight was also very good and came accompanied with provolone, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and oil and vinegar. All very good and fresh. I would easily order either sandwich again — I think it would just matter more of what I am in the mood for that day. They also had some pretty interesting paninis to choose from. So…I’m very glad we came here. It’s definitely a solid spot for the area. Prices were pretty reasonable, as well. Service was also relatively fast and friendly. I’ll definitely return to try some other things they have.

A&G is literally the best Italian deli I’ve ever stepped foot in. Since opening in the Pheasant Run shopping center in downtown Warren, I’ve been coming here for authentic, fresh and delicious Italian food. Want to come in for cooking needs? You have that option too. They sell all sorts of top notch oils, pastas, tomato sauces, cheeses, etc. Bottom line, if it’s Italian and it’s going to taste good, it’s in here. What A&G does best is make sandwiches. If you want something fast and tasty, the staff here will accommodate you in a timely fashion and have your lunch/dinner to you in mere minutes without sacrificing any quality. My personal favorite is the chicken cutlet on a roll with lettuce, tomato, mozzarella, oil and vinegar. Bread is usually the determining factor in whether a sandwich is good or not, and A&G’s is straight up phenomenal. If a good Italian sandwich isn’t what you’re looking for, that’s ok because they have enough here to appease all desires. I only visit New Jersey once or twice a year, and when I do I make it a point to stop in at A&G. It’s just that good.

While visiting a friend a few weeks ago, he picked up some sandwiches from A&G… and we were impressed. we had some paninis(chicken with fresh mozzarella and red peppers, veggie and some others). they were all great. so a week later, we were craving some good italian deli sandwiches… and stopped by at A&G. ordered some sandwiches and picked up some pasta… and some potato salad, mozzarella and tomato salad, and some antipasti. everything was great… i wasn’t a big fan of the antipasti… wasn’t the flavor i’m used to… but the quality of it was really good. Overall, a great deli for some comfort food!

I’ve only been here twice but it’s good! Italian style sandwiches made with good ingredients, at a reasonable price. It’s takeout and they sell other Italian products.

Called twice to place an order for pick up and was put on hold two times for over 10 minutes. Well the third was enough for me and I demanded to speak the manager. After an insincere apology for some guy who probably wasn’t the manager, we decided we would go somewhere that ACTUALLY wants our business. Other people have told me about similiar sub-par stories of customer service, so I was not entirely surprised. Not worth it for some average sandwiches IMO.

Even though I have been annoyed by the poor service of one of the people behind the counter, most of the servers are okay. Also, their pre-made Italian dishes and specialties are way overpriced. But the sandwiches! They are ridiculously tasty and should be tried by all. My favorites is the premade chicken cutlet with fresh mozzeralla and grilled veggies.

Anything less than five stars for this fine, well-run establishment is an insult to the great staff, wonderful food and amazing range of fresh and packaged goods. After visiting here many times with my mom — part of a Saturday tradition — I’ve had a chance to sample the sandwiches, oogle the(delicious) cookies, and pick out one or two home-cooked offerings to complement dinner. The broccoli rabe is sensational; filled with roasted garlic, smooth olive oil and just the right amount of salt. The giant arancini are nearly creamy and melty inside the crispy exterior. And — even though I’m more vegetarian than anything — I sampled the sausage and peppers, which is a wonderful blend of earthy sausage and crisp veggies. The sandwiches are always fresh and excellently prepared. I’m the kind of person that hates«dry» sandwiches(ie where the ingredients are slapped together) and fortunately, A&G make the most perfect sandwiches. They complement ham with pesto, mozzarella with tomatoes and turkey with just a touch of a spicy spread.(No «dry» items here!) Looking at all the dried pastas, cookies and other packaged offerings is an exercise in how much Italian I don’t know. However, there are many hard-to-find and unique items on A&G’s shelves, making it not only glorous but totally comprehensive. I adore this place.

Their deli pretty much makes any sandwich to order. I really like their chicken cutlet sandwiches which have brocolli rabe in them. Delicious. Also, it’s a great place to pick up some dinner as they have several different types of frozen pastas and sides/meats that you can take home and heat up.

I like the take-away ravioli from here, and am a fan of the Prosciutto sandwich. As has been mentioned, the major cons with this place are the price and the service. If you are patient and willing to spend a bit more money than usual for a sandwich, A&G will do.
