History
Established in 1909.
A four-generation, family-owned business founded by J.B. Williams, Sr., grandfather of the current owner, Bart Williams. The original company served as a local drayage firm hauling freight from the railroad stations to businesses in the Uniontown area and performing local moves with a wagon and a team of horses. In 1909, we sold all the horses and wagons and purchased the company’s first truck. We began doing interstate moving and were granted a Grandfather Certificate by the ICC to perform interstate moves in 1935. In 1945, Arthur R. Williams and Alonzo Parks purchased J.B. Williams & Son Transfer, H.A. Parks & Sons Transfer, and Keystone Transfer. The three companies merged into one company, which began doing business as H.A. Parks & Son Transfer. In 1967, Alonzo Parks retired and Arthur Williams, father of Bart Williams, purchased Mr. Parks’ interest in the business.
