History

Established in 1982.

Karen M. Kennedy graduated in the top 5% of her class from William & Mary Law School (Marshall-​Wythe School of Law) in 1979. After working as an associate for a few years, she formed her own firm with her office located in Middleburg, Virginia. Karen formed Hunt Country Title in 1984 and successfully operated the Title and Settlement company for several years until selling the company to become a partner at a Fairfax Law Firm.

In 2005 Karen returned to her own practice as Karen M. Kennedy & Associates, P.L.C. Since 2009, Karen has been helping people affected by the crash of the real estate market and the foreclosure crisis.

Richard Beard recently joined the Firm. He has extensive experience in traffic and criminal defense. Mr. Beard also will be involved in the new Hunt Country Title company in doing closings for people who are selling or buying a home or wish to refinance their home to take advantage of historic low rates.
