Good food. Great service. Clam cakes are my favorite app. Calamari is good too. Can’t say I’ve had a bad meal here. Nice bar. Big Windows, you can see planes come and go from the airport across the street. Half price apps at certain times.

Not much to do around the airport area and we needed a place to have dinner It was mother’s day and quite busy but we still found room at the bar. Wine and beer list was adequate and the wine I chose(Australian) was very good. Service was very good. Our bartender was kind and offered suggestions as weren’t locals and only there for one night. Family restaurant set up with the bar in the middle elevated above the lower seating. I would visit this place again when in the area.

I really enjoy this place when I stop In every so often. Kid friendly, staff is always pleasant from host to server. The food is always good, beer is always cold. Big fan of the clam cakes and white chowder, I must say it’s definitely in my top 3. I end up getting a burger every time I go and they are always cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Their desserts are also very good when I do save room for it at the end.

I enjoy Chelo’s. Always have. It’s not anything to get super excited about but for me, when I don’t feel like getting dropping $ 100 plus for fine dining it’s a solid option for — a decent burger, and I love their Reubens. Steak tip salad is a winner too! That being said. Went for lunch with a friend the other day. We wanted to have a few drinks/lunch and some laughs. Food was good. Drinks SUCKED!!! We ordered specialty martinis at $ 10 a pop. Should have ordered iced tea or soda and saved money. The bartender needs a refresher course. It’s called BOOZE!!! Pour it!!! Never again…

We ate here on a Monday night. It was relatively empty. The waitstaff is very nice. The food is ok. Good portion sizes. Specials. The mashed potatoes were homemade & yummy. The French Fries too. Salad was cold & crisp. The lobster Mac & Cheese is made with Penne pasta and a bit dry. Had flavor and lobster in it but needed a different pasta & actual cheese sauce. The New England clam chowder had tender clams but the soup lacked a real cream base. My ribeye steak had flavor but slightly tough. Not inedible though. If you are staying near the airport it’s a decent bet for a meal.

Good family restaurant but not crawling with kids either. Food is good, service is good, pricing is great, atmosphere is laid back: I actually ate her twice for dinner on a business trip. They have a wide array of food and drink options; you’ll like it. Guaranteed.

I never go to chelos cause I had a bad experience at the one on the water in EG. So we got a gift card for Christmas so we had to use it. We took our 2 year old and it was actually a good experience. They offer ½ priced apps. We went Sunday at 330pm. But it wasn’t good the ½ price app. The chicken quesadilla was very plain. No flavor at all. The was just chz, chx and just cut up tomatoes(not marinated) as well as the pico was also just tomatoes no flavor really. Do the food come out and it was pretty good. I had a chx Parm sandwich which was very bulky and filling. Wife shared with our son. The server was good and attentive as much as should could. I will go again!

Came here while waiting to pick up wife at the airport. Decided to order the ½ price appetizers. They were huge and the clam fritters were awesome. We ordered another dozen to take home. I would say the nachos were not all that good. The chips may appeal to others but they tasted overcooked BUT there was real cheese on them. Many of the nacho platters I have been ordering are cheese food My Father got the meat loaf and he liked it. Probably 4 stars and mashed potatoes were very good. I got the baked buffalo mac and cheese. A solid 4 but outside I can only compare to the boxed mixes as I do not normally order it out. I give it a 5 as it is a nice atmosphere, friendly waitresses and very good food for a reasonable price. Would definitely come back if I lived nearby.

Chelo’s is a can’t miss family restaurant with everything you could want from this kind of place. 1. A large, varied menu with great options. Sometimes with places that try to do too many things, there are some bad choices on the menu, but I have been here hundreds of times over the years and with many people and have never seen anyone dissatisfied. 2. Some really awesome desserts. Particularly the chocolate cake and cherry cheesecake. Awesome. 3. Reasonable prices and just right portions. 4. Typically very good service. It has varied from visit to visit over the years, but the food comes out fast and the right temperature every time. It’s a can’t lose place for families looking to have something tasty to eat that won’t break the bank. PS: Go with a roast beef sandwich(the medium one, medium rare) and onion rings(the best around), unless you want some great chowder and clam cakes. PPS — I greatly prefer the menu at this location over what is offered at the waterfront Chelo’s in EG. No contest on the selections all around.

Due to my Brother in Law’s passing, we needed a place to gather for dinner in his memory with family and close friends, on very short notice. We met with Kyle to address requirements and within 15 minutes, he had all bases covered and put my Sister’s mind at ease. As for the dinner itself, Danielle M was our server and she was amazing. She didn’t miss a beat with a group of 32 including 5 children. The food was excellent — service far exceeded expectations and Danielle’s smile, friendly manner and level of efficiency was a true blessing. To Gary Chello, do go out of your way to recognize both Kyle and Danielle, as they truly represent your establishment with HEART and SOUL !!! Which is not easy to come by these days. My Sister and I thank you — Sincerely, Nancy E. Buchanan

Stopped here on a recent trip to RI. Chelo’s is a decent spot for lunch, and the best thing about Chelo’s is probably its proximity to the airport. This is your easiest, quickest spot for some solid clam cakes once you de-plane. The New England chowder here is also solid(I find it mystifying that a local chain like Chelo’s does not serve clear chowder also). The negatives — we found service slow at lunch(and we were there before the rest of the lunch crowd). We also had to send back an order of onion rings which were undercooked and not crispy. While they were promptly replaced, it’s always a minus to have to send back food. So while Chelo’s is a decent choice, I would not bother making a special trip here or anything.

When your name has the word«grille» you would think you would have real grilled chicken in your GRILLEDCHICKENSALAD. But nope. It was premade frozen strips. A tiny bit of cheese melted only over the chicken instead of spread throughout the salad. It had 4 cucumber slices and 4 grape tomato’s along with some lettuce. It was probably the most disappointing salad I have encountered in quite some time. Folks you charge $ 10.49 for this and you didn’t do any work! No pleasant voice on the phone when placing an order. No smile on a face when you pick it up and pay. I can go down the road a bit and get a friendly smiling face as well as real grilled chicken in a salad from Greggs. Which is what I will do in the future. Update: 2016 I have gone back to Chellos recently and had both the bacon cheeseburger as well as the southwest burger. Both were excellent. I will revise my review to A-OK. I would have to try the salad again to upgrade it further.

Good atmosphere and good food! This is more of your typical sit-down restaurant serving Americana food. They have an incredible bar in the middle of the restaurant that is elevated and good for getting away from the sit-down crowd. Chelo’ can get very busy on weekend nights, but I can’t remember having to wait too long to be seated. Any foodie can tell this is a well run restaurant and a favorite of mine.

I’ve been in love with Chelos my whole life and have been to basically every location they have. The giant roast beef sandwich is one of my favorite things one earth. This location made me love Chelos even more for a couple reasons. It’s much cleaner, not completely run down(Woonsocket), and the employees are more professional. I just love the food consistency.

The waitress was good The chicken wings were cold. When one of the drinks absolutely had no alcohol the manager who walked around strutting his stuff said it was impossible and they would both taste the same The new drink did not taste the same And he never came back to ask if it was better I would never go back

Typical family friendly restaurant, very reasonably priced. The calamari was too greasy for my liking but I did get the fish and chips and was thrilled they substitute the sides, was able to get broccoli and a sweet potato(you know… balancing out the fried fish dinner). The fish was cooked perfect. Overall fun, loud atmosphere but great place for a low key dinner and drinks with some friends especially if they have children

From the second we touch down at T.F. Green airport, our minds are on Chelo’s Hometown Bar & Grille. Chelo’s is the first restaurant we hit on our annual food tour of Rhode Island. It’s hard to find good clam cakes and chowder in Florida, so my parents are drooling by the time we arrive! I’m not a chowder fan, so I stick with the cakes with a side of sweet potato fries. Another dish I enjoy is the lunch special, where you can choose between four different half sandwiches or a bowl of the soup of the day and add one of five side options. I usually get the turkey sandwich and soup of the day(and try to steal someone’s leftover clam cake once they’re stuffed). The portion sizes are perfect for a hearty lunch after a long morning of flying up the coast. The staff is always friendly and welcoming as we return to our native land. It’s nice to hear that familiar accent and enjoy some of our favorite foods. Chelo’s sure knows how to start our vacation off on a great note!

As a family, we LOVE Chelo’s! The food is very good, the prices are more then fair and best of all, the food is consistent. Meaning, you can order what you like and actually get what you expect :) We visit this location a few times a month as a family and I go a few times a month for lunch during business meetings. This location works great for both occasions. The staff is always friendly, courteous and eager to please. You will be greeted at the door by a staff member wearing a smile and offering to hold the door for you… You get the idea. If you are in a hurry, tell them. They can match your pace. Check the special board and take a peek at the seasonal menu. You really can’t miss here. Amazing Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, Burgers, Salads and more! Oh and Sunday is half price appetizers. Ca-Ching, our kids love that. It’s a real treat and doesn’t break the bank!
