Cannot recommend enough. I didn’t work with Dr. Abrams directly, but the other doctor and the staff at Eye Care for Animals are top notch. Very professional and on top of their game. Our pug had a horrible eye injury a year ago and when we moved to RI, we had to find new care. He ended up having the eye removed after making every reasonable effort to save it. The staff here was so helpful and knowledgeable throughout the process. We were given options and everything was explained in detail. I felt like they really tried to give us different options for care and to save money when possible. Follow up calls to check on our guy were really helpful and we were able to get answers over the phone to avoid the 40 minute drive when possible. Really, I can’t say enough good things about this place. They even gave us advice on doctors to check out when we move again next month. Dealing with eye injuries can be stressful and expensive and the staff here tries to help make it as painless as possible. I wish we could take them with us when we move!

Terrific specialty animal practice! Dr. Abrams is one of just a few veterinary opthamologists in Rhode Island, and my experiences of his care of my aging Shih Tzu’s eye health have been exceptional. Recently semi-​retired, Dr. Abrams works part-​time in the practice, and his new veterinarian colleague (I have yet to meet) and super friendly staff will leave your canine opthamology needs in the best of hands. Veterinary Opthamology Services puts laser focus on medical expertise with a healthy dose of «bedside manner.»

Dr. Abrams and his staff have been great with both our dog (and us!) through the process of treating our dogs eye health. Everyone at his practice has been very professional and a joy to be around. We truly appreciate the extra steps they’ve taken to give the best service and support.
