Had an issue with my gas furnace where a delayed ignition problem was causing it to «boom» when starting. After reading the reviews on Unilocal,I decided to contact Riley WM. I was greeted by a friendly voice on the other end of the phone and was told that I would be contacted shortly in an attempt to schedule an onsite visit that afternoon. About 30 minutes later, and true to her word, I was told that a visit could be scheduled for late morning; which exceeded my expectations to begin with. A technician (Dave) arrived at my residence on time and began to inspect the furnace. Dave was professional, courteous, and very personable. He quickly diagnosed that the issue was being caused by a weak pilot and proceeded to repair it. After several heating cycles, it appears that the issue has been resolved. I had a great experience with this company and will not hesitate to call them again should I need any plumbing work done in the future!

These guys are phenomenal! I have never dealt with a better business when having work performed in my houses. I would recommend them to everyone.
Upon purchasing my new house, I pulled the typical Rhode Islander move and called one of big box «local» companies to service my boiler (which will go unnamed), as I knew it had not been touched in several years. They came over to the house for 5 minutes, told me they couldn’t do anything and left. Highly doubting this, I called Riley Plumbing and scheduled an appointment.
A couple weeks later, David arrived and serviced my boiler. It took over 2 hours! He was so meticulous, showing me exactly what he was doing why it was important. At the end of the visit, my CO output went down from 500ppm (a potentially hazardous/​fatal amount) to less than 100ppm and they also found that my boiler had not ben converted up to code. They were able to get the part I needed and squeezed me into their busy schedule within a couple days to replace this item, because they did not want to leave me without my boiler off.
As an aside, the cost was VERY fair.
I wish I could express how highly I recommend these guys, both David and Liz are very professional and I have nothing but compliments for them. Called early in am and had someone at our home same morning. Cleared blockage in line. Their staff, Liz was very understanding and pleasant. Crew was extremely professional and efficient. Cost was very fair. Would definitely use again if necessary.

I just moved into a new house and we were having an issue with a floorboard pipe leaking on Sunday night. Monday at 8am I called Riley’s and Liz answered and said she would have someone come out and look today. At 9am I got a call saying someone would be over in 20 minutes. David met me at the house and was very professional and kind. He knew exactly what the issue was and was able to fix the pipe in less than 2 hours (along with several other things that were wrong).
Not sure is the price was comparable to others since this was the first time calling a heating company. However it was not a lot and I was quite pleased with the service. I will definitely call them again if any issues come up.

David was fantastic! He combined the highest level of professionalism with a courteous, friendly manner. When he first came inside my house, and asked about the furnace that stopped working, he was simultaneously listening to the furnace cycling through, but I could not tell because he was fully present listening to me. He explained the problem with the sensor and said it would just need to cleaned, not replaced (and it was not the type of thing that required preventive maintenance). Also, he could tell from inside the house, that the outlet outside was blocked. We went around the back of the house and he showed it to me. I was very satisfied.

It was easy to set up an appointment with these guys. Everybody in the company is easy to deal with, polite, professional, and efficient. I would definitely hire them again for any plumbing needs. They were honest.

Had never used them and found them today on Unilocal.They deserve their 5 star rating! They came same day and knocked out a kitchen sink leak by quickly replacing a cracked pvc part. Charlie was super nice and polite. They will be my go to for plumbing from now on

I worked here for 8.5 yrs and it was a great place to work and we did the best plumbing that could possibly be done!

I moved into a new house. After about a week, my wife and I found some plumbing problems (not an emergency but issues nonetheless). I called on Riley Plumbing on Wednesday and quickly set up an appointment for Thursday at noon. Noting that I worked close by and the plumber may be a little late, I gave them my cell phone number to give me a heads up 15 minutes before they arrived.
At 11:45am the next day, Charlie from Riley Plumbing called me saying he would be there at noon. I went back home and he met me there promptly at noon.
Charlie did a great job and fixed the problem. As he was leaving, he called me to explain the problems, how he fixed them, and how to avoid future issues.
Of note, I have a friendly beagle at home. Charlie was more than considerate of her and her extra friendliness. There was not need to lock her up as he was flat out fantastic dealing with her while I left him do his work.
Bottom line: I highly recommend Riley Plumbing for your next plumbing problem. They are easy to schedule with, on time, and do a great job. What more do you want with a Plumber?

I’m a new homeowner in an old home. So there is a lot that needs to be done and I’m not sure how to do it.
Charlie from William Riley was the bees knees in fixing everything on my list (ironically it included everything BUT the kithcen sink, which was the only faucet not leaking). Liz from the office was very helpful in getting times set up that would work for me. Mike M. was able to answer all my stupid questions without making me feel stupid.
Since I’ve never had to pay a plumber before I can’t say if they are exopensivem, but I think I got a great deal.
I’ll use them again for sure.
