Love the small guys! Great shop awesome selection in all areas that I am interested in, fair pricing, knowledgeable and helpful. They have the brands that guitar center doesn’t, and guitar center sucks, really like this place and I buy most all my guitar/amp stuff here. Only reason why its MOST of my stuff is because they are kinda far from me

I was having issues with my USA Jackson 2012SL2HT. First fret buzz, nut action was too low, no setup approach would remedy the problem. I hit the Jackson website, Ross Music was listed as authorized. Brought the guitar in on a Thursday, and met Dave Ross, friendly atmosphere(I had my 3 young children with me). Knowing it was a serious fix, and crucial to the guitars playability from here on out, I told him to take whatever time was necessary to make it right… and that’s exactly what he did, made it right. He called me on the following Monday, explained in detail exactly what had to be done, which I had a feeling would be the case. Dave cut the gloss urethane clearcoat around the nut, which was really heavy, no thin lacquer here folks. He had to cut multiple times around the nut without scratching the neck, or the headstock. One slip, and your done. Removed the original nut without cracking it, shimmed, reglued it back on. Action is low, no more buzz, minimal relief. Family owned business. 35 years of experience, trust them with any of my guitars, all 2 of them.

I found this store on Unilocal after Guitar Center didn’t have what I was looking for. Man am I glad that happened. Not only did I get what I was looking for, but I got a newer model for the exact same price as all the mail order stores. Instant gratification without the wait. I am a very beginner guitar player, so walking into a guitar store can be intimidating. No worries about that here. Every person working at this store was genuinely friendly and helpful. I didn’t feel pressured at all. I would highly recommend this store.

As Brian said in his excellent review, this store is a little cramped, but the offerings are all pretty good. I do not regularly frequent music stores, but on the few occasions I have, I’ve gone to one of the chains. Always felt a little intimidated, but not here. The guy working there, who I assume to be the owner, was able to show me a variety of what I needed straight away, and I noticed many items were drastically discounted. Support local businesses people!

A music store to thread lightly The first thing you notice when you walk into this store is that they sure have a lot of stuff in a relatively small space. Care and attention definitely is required moving around in here. Fortunately most of the stuff they have hanging around is very cool stuff. This is a music store so of course they have musical instruments hanging from the walls, ceilings and just about in every corner. Not a store to find antiques or classical instruments, Ross has tons of electric and acoustic guitars, drums and electronics. Gibson, Marshall, Vox, Ludwig and Hartke are some of the old favorites that are represented. i did find a book with a collection of songs from the 17th and 18th centuries that I bought. It looked liked it had been in the store since the 17th century but once I wiped the dust off it I had some pretty interesting music. I also got to fondle a 1959 Les Paul. Just like they ones Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, Peter Green and Mike Bloomfield used. Exactly the same except theirs were real and this was a reproduction. I’m sure if it was a real«59 Les Paul I wouldn’t be able to put my grubby hands one it. An authentic«59 Les Paul guitar is an extremely rare and wondrous beast with a price tag that would stop your heart but it was still nice to be able to mess around with the reproduction. Even that wasn’t cheap at six grand. A nice, local music store that has a lot of cools stuff jammed into a small area. Adds to the atmosphere and fun of the place. The guys working here are always friendly and very knowledgeable and they also give music instruction and do repairs. A good place to poke around if you’re in the market for a modern guitar or instrument. Just make sure you are careful where you walk. Don’t want to break that«59 Les Paul even if it is just a reproduction.
