Warwick Public Library

This library goes above and beyond expectations of a library. This — two story library– has everything you could think of to help build a sense of community. The interior of the library is great after walking in through a long corridor filled with entry ways to public meeting rooms, one walks into the library and is greeted by glass. A glass wall of a well kept second floor administrative office and glass study rooms in the center of the library. Beyond the immediate view of glass you see an expansive library in any direction leading a section devoted to newspapers, or towards wooden ended bookcases housing different genres of books. The facility is clean and quiet. It’s easy to escape to your own area here and its rather comfortable. Plenty of work-​space areas and many, many, many books. The library holds many community events like special movie series and labs. You can also check out BluRay DVD’s. If you’re looking to get out of the house and explore, definitely consider checking this library out.

I LOVE this library. Ever since I discovered it, I’ve never had a need for RedBox. I mean, wow, their BluRay DVD collection is comprehensive. They even have ebook readers (always out, though). I don’t mind borrowing «one day only’s» or paying $ 1.00 if it came to that. This library fulfills all my «getaway» requirements (can you say cute NERD?) — from private study rooms where I can finish online studies — to a creative studio. I have not tried this studio yet as I generally work on my own but I just might soon. I saw that the PCs there have Adobe Photoshop and there are open use days. That means I can start my online Photoshop studies using their PCs.
Oh and should the private study rooms all be taken, you can always go to the quiet study room, wear a headset, plug your laptop, and get lost in your activity.
Meeting rooms galore, too.
All staff members are friendly and really helpful. I could spend an entire day over there. Of course, nothing’s perfect but even feeling rushed when they close at the end of the day, is negligible. I mean, they close at 9PM on most days and 5PM Fri-​Sun.
Awesome parking and speaking of schedule, they are open on Sundays from Fall to Spring! Can’t beat that.
Pity there is no small café anymore. I’d love to put up a small coffee station one day soon. Nothing fancy. Just the essentials while frequent members like me study, read, etc.
Great, busy line up of activities — learning events, concerts, even film showing series.

I was so impressed! I came to this library for story hour this week with my infant. What a great experience! The librarians were friendly, sociable, informative, and engaging. The book selections were aplenty. The whole upstairs Children’s Room experience was so happy and exciting for a child of any age. They had a large walk-​in row boat, a large puppet walk-​in house, wall art with fun tactile toys, a fun fish tank, and even a hairy tarantula. The toy selection in the story hour room is excellent and very clean. Fun time! Highly recommend a visit to this very large, organized, well stocked, and clean library right in the center of RI.
Make sure to check out the book selection in the Children’s Section upstairs — lots of classics from childhood. Brings back many memories. Books I haven’t seen in years. Nostalgia kicks in at this fine library establishment.

I love this library. Mainly because it is a great place to do group work and has tons of quiet study spots to hide away in.
This public library is spacious, modern and clean. They have their monthly schedules and weekly activities displayed right at the entrance on their plasma screen TV’s. And several public computers for use scattered around the center of the library. Plus wifi for those with personal devices. Yay for us techy peeps!
They have long rectangular tables with glass dividers to facilitate group study. And they have a few circular tables surrounding the perimeter of the library for a quiet group study or (if you are like me) a private space to sprawl all your study materials on.
This place is so large with numerous rooms for children’s activities and even an upstairs I haven’t ventured in yet. This place is one of my solid go-​to for a place to study or have group work/​meetings. I’m not even a resident of Warwick!

Good library. Lots of quiet places to work and they have wifi. Children’s room upstairs in extensive with a good collection of kids music cd’s.

This is my favorite place in Warwick! The kids section is fantastic, the staff is incredibly helpful, and the adult book selection is wonderful. A true gem.

I’ve visited a handful of libraries in RI and this is by far the best. I was very impressed!

This is by far the best library i have walked into. The second floor caters to kids. the whole floor. with kids puzzles, games, books, fish tank. My kids love it. Down Stairs there is computer station, sound proof rooms, study rooms, tones of books, dvds, cds. My Family love this place

A gem of knowledge in Warwick. Renovated about 10 years ago, the WPL features your standard computers, mags, music cd’s, dvd’s, etc. Being one of the largest libraries in the state, it has much more of them.
Many meeting rooms which feature topics as diverse as blood drives to lectures on the history of Warwick and places to study, including enclosed areas add to the WPL. There is a café, but this is closed as of August 2011

The Warwick Library is clean, spacious, well used, and organized. I love that they not only have a set of computers for adults to sign out but also a separate computer place for teens. Hilariously the teen computers are laptops while the adults are desktops.
As Dani G said, they have these glassed off study areas in the center of the main level that can be used as a quiet study place for one person or a louder study group.
Their DVD selection is very recent and they even have a 1 night rental shelf for the most recent releases. I do have to say that their collection of DVDs in general is fairly small though.
While they might not have all the DVDs I want, they redeem themselves for 5 stars because of the café connected to the library. What a great idea. Now when I need to go study somewhere I don’t have to rush to get it all done to go home and eat, I can take a quick break and grab a bite and then get back to work.
Printing here is 15 cents per page, and you do need to have your library card to use the computers and to print from the computers. So make sure not to leave it at home.

A nice new, very clean library that actually has a little café located in the same building. The library has a nice collection of both fiction and non fiction books and with a wide assortment of different categories. It also has a section of large print books and DVDs. The periodical area is exceptionally fine with many speciality and more obscure journals available.
The library also has a automatic scan that allows you to check out your own books without the add of an librarian and a drive up book drop.
The café is just a little coffee shop type place but it is so convenient to stop in for a coffee or pastry before you do your research.

This really is a nice library. I have been able to utilize this space for professional meetings, public functions etc. There are plenty of glassed in rooms that are sound proff and small function rooms where we have hosted small company related functions during business hours. It is clean, organized and the staff have always been friendly. This is truly warwick money well spent.
