Tinne all time say love you love you, because I love his favorite dance club, so you know the place is so great and funny. Last Friday night we went the place and we had overcome a happy moment. The place touches my hard and mind, all over atmosphere, sound system and staff is great. Sound system is loudly but it not bad. That’s day we earn some delicious food and cold drink. Overall, pretty nice club for 18+, it’s great…

I really love this place. Not only is the setup cool, but the drinks are good and the music is the best! Another plus is the location — its not smack in the middle of the hustle and bustle of U st. but right down the block from the convention center, you can’t beat that. Great place to chill w/some friends, I’m definitely a fan.

I was pleasantly surprised when I entered Mood this past week. The beef sliders were amazing, as they were the perfect end to a full stomach. The environment in Mood was electric, the drinks were properly mixed and well priced and the bartenders were attentive. Overall, I was highly impressed and will def return to Mood very soon!

Stopped in here to watch the election results on Tuesday with some friends. I was nervous. I was either going to have some drinks and celebrate or have some drinks, cry and plot my move out of the country. Luckily, we all got to celebrate. Having gone there straight from my office, I didn’t get a chance to eat anything. This conflicted with my drinking plans. But I need not have worried. I found that Mood now has a food menu. I had some beef sliders and chicken skewers. Perfect! Good food, good people and an all around great night for everyone. I will be back.

A friend brought me here for a private party. The two levels with different rooms were pretty cool. If you have a large group, you can easily take over of one the small rooms. The music on both floors were great(your standard hip-hop and club hits). The bouncers are friendly and they get you in and out quickly.

Went here on a Saturday night since it wa free for ladies before 12. Its near the Convention Center and there was tons of free street parking. There was no line and I got there at like 10:50 and it was like 10 ppl in there, including the staff/bartenders. I guess the DJ was warming up because he didn’t get good until like 11 something close to 12. He played R&B, rap, old school. The second floor opened up later, which had African and Caribbean music. It was a lot of space and seating, with another bar, plus seats across from it and couch that ran the length of one side of the wall and tables. I think it was also supposed to be open bar from 10 – 11, but missed it. Drinks were average DC price but well made and strong. Overall it was a nice space and it is what u make it so I had still had fun. But a better DJ and more promotion this place could really be good. Also, it was extremely loud even though it wasn’t crowded at all and not that big.

I AMNOT A FAN. Mood lounge was the biggest waste of my time in a while. I was SO disappointed. The only good thing of the night was the easy parking and getting in for free. I went on a Saturday night around 10:30 p.m. I wasn’t sure if there was a guest list and if so how I went about getting on it, but we were able to walk right into the place. When I arrived there was maybe 10 people in the entire place. Can you say EMPTY. It was ridiculous. I decided to give it a chance because it was really early. The DJ was playing a mix of R&B & Hip-Hop. Typical club type music you would hear at every other place that caters to this type of crowd. I would say the crowd in a bit younger in my opinion. There were barely any guys in the place. The women out numbered the men like 20 to 1(ok dramatic, but really the guy/girl ratio was so bad). That was a bummer. Like some of the other reviews said, its on long rectangular room with a bar on one side and an empty VIP area on the other. I still have on understanding of some place having«lounge» in the name and not having any place to sit except the roped off«VIP/Buy a Bottle» area. Not a true lounge in my opinion. The drinks, oh my word, I’ve had much cheaper. I got a Ciroc Redberry and Sprite and it was $ 13. I feel like that was a bit much. As the night went on, more people came, but it wasn’t crowded or even full by any means. I also felt like the music was too loud. It as loud to the point of distortion, if you know what I mean. My ears will be ringing for about a week or so. The positives of the night were got in for free(check), free & easy parking(check), wasn’t super packed or hot(check), yeah I think that’s it. The negatives younger crowd, music was JUST okay and that’s being generous, empty empty empty, expensive drinks, and not quite as laid back as I like. Ugh I was so disappointed in the night. My friend said she had more fun on the ride home than the actual entire night at Mood. Needless to say I am not a fan, I’m not sure how they can make it better, but I will not be back. I tried it, checked it off, now I’m keeping it moving.

We parked across the street at the gas station for $ 10 — at least it was lit. Front wasn’t much to look at — $ 20 cover charge after midnight — DJ wouldn’t play a song because he said he didn’t like it — the inside corridor felt like the Soul Train line: it was just so slim. Cute cute girls, the guys were not dressed to impress — crowd was not mixed — music was ok — drinks were decent. Other than the owner/manager being really really sweet and the décor being pretty decent — I didn’t care too much about this place and probably wouldn’t come back. :(

Mood Lounge was the first stop during a night of fun. Finding parking wasn’t that difficult, considering. We went through the guest list/texts and got there before midnight, so we got in free(for that, I am a fan). The people at the door were really nice, too. The place was nice inside – neon lights/wall fixtures, a long bar area, the DJ tucked away on a stage on the first floor who spun mostly hip hop. We got there a little early in the night, I guess, because it wasn’t that crowded inside. No one was dancing, either. Well, some of the females were dancing, but the men were just kind of watching. We went upstairs, and it’s a pretty cool space up there: two rooms that can be used for private parties with more bars and TVs. Nothing was really going on up there, so we went back downstairs and mingled for a while before leaving. The people who go there seem chill, and I did hear that Mood got more fun as the night wore on, but by then we were on to stop number two. I’ll most likely come back to this place because it was actually really pleasant and I had no real gripes about it.

I must say I was pretty satisfied with my night at Mood Lounge. Like everyone else stated, it is a pretty typical DC club, very clean. I thought it was a nice environment. I had two bartenders… I wish I would have gotten their names. I just remember them being really pretty lol. The long haired brunette made me one STRONG island and I was DONE for the night. The music is pretty typical, but I enjoyed it. There are a few bouncers there that are HOT which made my night to see quite a bit of eye candy. I’d definitely make my way to Mood Lounge rather than going to the overrated Park. I just don’t like to be in overly crowded clubs. This place was just right.

A friend recommended that I check out Mood lounge, but from reading the review I was not too sure, but I decided to give it a shot. I sent an email and signed myself +3 on the guestlists. They replied to my email indicating that each person is suppose to sign up on there own, but they will go ahead and grant my request. When we got there, it was a little passed 11pm and the young lady allowed my male friend in without entrance fee because the guest pass is good until 11pm for male’s &12am for females. Also, the bartender’s were attentive & the second level is on the right when you enter and the bartender’s were just as attentive. The seat’s upstairs are nice and not to crowded. «Which I liked the most». From the doormen and up the staff member’s were professional and even asked if we were finish with our drinks before tossing it away. Yes, there is only one restroom for each gender, but they do have one upstairs. The drinks were a little pricey, but it is DC. It was a nice Friday night & I plan to visit again with friends. Parking was easy too. I hope they have happy hour specials and not change there image because it is knew. So staff members please keep up the great work. Must check out.

This place was ok. Nice décor, pretty standard lounge setting. The crowd was nice looking — way more women than men though. There definitely needs to be more bathrooms. Besides that, nothing really made this place stand out to me. I’m not quite sure what makes it different than any other lounge in DC and what will make me want to come back again.

We checked out the new Mood Lounge last saturday night. Meh. Mood is two or three doors down from Azi’s on 9th… and it’s brand spankin new. It’s not that big, and typical DC set up… one long rectangular room(DJ and dance floor raised up by several stairs)…and about half a dozen tables roped off for table service. No other seating(–1 star). Overall, not much to get excited about, funky neon wall behind the VIP tables, but that’s about it. Bathrooms are one room only(–1 star), and brilliantly located right near the front door, sure to create many bottlenecks and shoving matches in years to come. By 11, the place was full, but not unbearable elbow-throwing wall-to-wall people. DJ was just OK, playing standard radio hip hop… playing to the crowd… which if you don’t know, is Black. If want to party with the UN, sorry, this isn’t it. I would have given Mood 2 stars for being too new to be so standard… but we had a killer bartender who made our night. We posted up in the center of the bar for about an hour or two chit chatting before heading to the dance floor. In that time, our bartender came by twice and hooked us up with free shooters! Bonus! Just before leaving, we noticed a stairway up to a second floor and went up to explore. Ok, half a dozen more seats(not VIP) and another bar… with a little more room to dance. Still not impressed. Zero design or décor worth mentioning. Not a spot I’m rushing out to again.
