They robbed me! I gave a $ 20 and they said I gave them a $ 10. It was my only bill and fresh from the ATM. Avoid!

This place is basically a convenience store/corner shop. But if you go to the very back of the store, you will find a sandwich counter. I had an amazing burger there after a night of bar hopping in admo. The grill master is very friendly and the food is legit. They can make a great spicy cheeseburger. Also a great place to pick up essentials at the last minute.

It was over 100 F and I was dying in the heat, before heading to L’enfant with this I-can’t-admit-I-am-a-smoker guy we stopped by the store so he could get a pack, I decided to grab a drumstick. I remembered the total was something like $ 12! Was the ice-cream overpriced or what?

It was midnight on Thursday, and Jackson needed some smokes. We were at Pharmacy bar…“all we have is Newport,” said the barman, «but there’s a convenience store next door.» Sure enough, a minute later, we were entering the yellow-glowing storefront of 18th Street Express: stocked to the max with cigarettes, condoms, and ice cream treats. This is a good place to go if you need some bright, bright flourescent light and Gatorade to perk you up after hours of languishing in the dim-lit watering holes of Adams Morgan.
