20s & 30s Going Out Group

JT does an excellent job at organizing events. Definitely a good group to meet new people.

I belong to several meetups and this is BY FAR the best one to hang out, meet people and just plain have a blast. The organizer (J.T.) is super chill and always comes up with awesome events and makes sure his people are treated right anywhere we go. Whether you’re new to the DMV or a native, I HIGHLY recommend checking out some of his upcoming events; I’m fairly confident you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve joined a few meetup groups and this is by far my favorite one! The organizer, JT, is great, and he plans awesome events. Just a sampling includes boat cruises, happy hours, sporting events, helicopter rides, trips abroad, theater shows, charity events, and MBA prep. The prices are really reasonable, especially because JT gets great perks and deals for group members, and not all events cost money. There’s something for everyone in this group, and all of the people are very friendly and open-​minded. I’ve made some really great friends in this group, and the friends that I bring to events have started attending events on their own. We haven’t had a negative experience yet. In my humble opinion, this is probably the best meetup in DC.

Been out for a few meetups with this group, a dinner, a happy hour, and signed up for a bartending workshop. The people who come out have been great, I would definitely recommend it to others, the variety is awesome.

This is really an awesome meetup group — its super large and they’re always doing something of interest. I think its really easy to sign up for the events and pay your dues, and the prices are very good for all the organization and variety of things to do. Plus, the people in the meetup are super fun and easy to get to know! I think I agree — that if you only had this one meetup group, you would be set!

It was a pleasure working with JT and everyone in this social group for New Years Eve .The staff and members were extremely pleasant and the vibe remained festive all night long! The crowd was very mature and professional and knew how to have fun. –Shaun

I am a huge fan of this group. Though not everything is 100% perfect (as nothing in life really is).
however, this group is perfect for anyone looking to meet new people and try new things.

I own a entertainment company (Exclusively Entertainment) who has had the pleasure of providing entertainment and lighting for several of this groups events in the past 5 years. Organized by a hard working, trustworthy and dedicated founder (J.T.) I have personally witnessed the success of these events not just by the number of people that continue to turn up (more than a thousand every new year) but the diversity in the crowd. I highly recommend this group for anyone who’s looking to meet new people!

A fantastically dynamic community that attracts gender-​balanced crowds of quality professionals in big enough groups to make for a fun, varied time. Great mix of types of activities. Well organized! I’ve given workshops for this group on several occasions and even as the speaker, I have a blast with the folks who come.

I really enjoy going to some of the group events. You can meet a variety of people through this organization’s happy hours, sports events and group activities. Great way to meet your fellow recent DC transplants.

This meetup group has the best events. They are always well planned and organized. If you are new to area or just like to go out and have fun with cool people then this is the group for you!

This is an awesome group of people who are friendly and know how to have a good time. JT and Kelly plans really diverse events– from river tubing and picnics, to club nights and happy hours. I highly recommend checking out their events.

This social group is for anyone looking to meet new friends. You do this by attending their various activities. Happy hours, cruises, club nights, ziplining, barbecues, hikes– you name it, they’ve probably done it. I’ve met tons of folks. Some just acquaintances, others real lifelong friends. It’s all about how much effort you put in and how open-​minded you are.

I’ve been apart of this group for a while, the activities are diverse, the organizers are wonderful and the people you meet are priceless!!! It’s not «why» you should join… It’s why wouldn’t you join? If you new to DC or a Native looking for new fun activities and people to meet… you’ve come to the right place. Have met some truly lifelong friends here and I’m always spreading the word :)

The organizers for the 20s and 30s group here in DC are the best and very professional. I would even consider them as friends now. The group has many, too many?, events on their calendar. If I want something to do or someplace to go, it’s a one-​stop no-​brainer to check out their calendar. Attending the events has been easy and fun. I have always felt I was treated as if I were a V.I.P. even by the venue staff. Thanks for everything guys!
