I honestly did not like cider much before being exposed to non macro cider. The Spanish and French Basque ciders I have tasted have much more character and depth then I ever thought a cider could have. I’ve enjoyed seeing this small business grow and look forward to ANXO opening soon and their second location on Kennedy St slated to open later in the year. I love the amount of care that has gone into every pop-up event; you can tell they didn’t just throw things together last minute. The knowledge the staff has is fantastic as well. I’ve been to restaurants and breweries that have people on staff that can not answer simple questions about the product they are trying to sell. The food has been phenomenal at these events too! I have enjoyed all the pintxos and grilled items at the Colony Club events. It’s wonderful to see hard working people from the industry achieve their dreams!

This is looking to be an amazing place, and something new and different in DC. I’ve only recently discovered cider, and I am already a huge fan. These folks are doing it right with cider and small plates. So far my experiences at their pop-ups has been fun, delicious and original. I’m really loving how they are introducing their bar with exciting events around town. Be sure to check out these Anxo Sightings, and when they open on Florida Ave, hopefully soon!
