It’s all fun and games until your jeans don’t fit anymore… Auntie Ann’s…I thought all auntie Ann’s are the same… but I was wrong… This place sells burnt/dry pretzels… pretty disappointing… I wish I knew better… The staff was slow and Lousy… I ordered butter pretzels dogs… they were just bland… You would think since they are located in union station… they would up there products bit more… I would take a pass from this particular auntie Ann and check out the other food stands in the area…

Auntie Anne’s pretzels is always fantastic any time of day. I don’t typically stop here, but I must say that I am quite a fan of their breakfast sandwiches. I’ve had it with bacon and sausage, and both were awesome. The pretzel bun is a nice touch & I’m pretty sure the egg is real. Definitely doesn’t taste like an egg patty, but since they don’t cook it right there, I can’t be 100% sure. Regardless, I think the sandwiches are delicious & I’ll definitely be having it again.

There was exactly one moment during my purchase of pretzels and coffee that the employees at this location showed any attitude besides utter apathy. It was when one realized she had neglected to put the tip jar out, ran back to the back, grabbed it, and put it on the counter in front of me. Then, and only then, did anyone commence dispensing and providing me the coffee I had ordered. I did not deposit any money in the tip jar. The coffee was not spectacular, but it was hot and contained caffeine. The pretzels were fine, if a little old. It looked like they’d made too many for the amount of business they’d received that day. I was not a fan. Below par in every respect. There was this fancy-looking authentic pizza place just a little further down called Sbarro* I wish I’d tried instead. * Just kidding, calm down! I saw it and thought of that episode of The Office.

Yes, it’s a chain, and so I could copy and paste this review into any of the Auntie Annie locations from which I’ve bought pretzels(and just well might, come to think of it!). Still, chain or no chain, they have some of the best soft pretzels out there. The pricing is reasonable, and the pretzels I’ve gotten have been fresh 99.9% of the time, with but one abberration. The one time I got a rubbery, not-fresh pretzel, they refunded my money and gave me a free fresh pretzel just out of the oven. Well worth your time and money.
