Alas, they are no more! Closed down when we arrived at work today… so long, pizza by the slice! They were always very accommodating to our party when we were with a friend in a wheelchair, not always the case in this area. For that, thank you! They’ll be missed.

first time here, ordered the chicken parm(my fav italian dish) & how underwhelming to say the least. pasta was overcooked & the chicken was bland & needed more seasoning. definitely not impressed, I feel like mac grills chicken parm is done better(& believe me, they’ve definitely fallen off over the years so even saying that is being nice). the bruschetta appetizer was yummy, I enjoyed the glass of moscato as well. my entrée jus made me a little sad.

My husband and I got a sudden hankering for some really good, authentic pizza late at night. He had also been wanting to take me to Bertucci’s for awhile, but I imagined it would have been closed. It stays open(at least on Saturday) til 11pm. We got there at 10pm and the service was exceptional. The server’s name was Z and she was truly remarkable: attentive, but not hovering. I also couldn’t help but notice the very professional manner in which she handled another customer requesting something that she couldn’t give them. The pizza was awesome, but I filled up on the great bread and delicious olive oil. The only thing that I would say is, being a vegetarian, the only house veggie pizza has the same old«meat substitutes” – eggplant and portobello mushrooms. I’m sure it’s delicious but I personally don’t find much flavor in those mushrooms.(Why not try some ali’i oyster mushrooms instead? :D) Thanks for a great night!

The food was good, it’s a chain so that tells you that. I went at about 8 – 830 on a Friday night with my boyfriend before going out. There were a million open tables and they decided to put us in the very back near the bathrooms(not like I really care. I understand that a lot of servers had probably already been cut and that was all that was open– but a table closer to the front or a table to the side would’ve been appreciated so people wouldn’t walk by us every few minutes to go towards the kitchen/bathroom). So what really irked me was that it took 5 – 10 minutes for the server to greet us. If the restaurant was busy I wouldn’t mind but it wasn’t. So after she finally came we asked for a drink menu because one hadn’t come to us. So we get one and she comes back again and asks us what we’d like to drink. We both order alcoholic drinks and she takes the order and walks away without carding us. About 5 or so minutes later she comes back to the table and asks to see our IDs. I don’t know why she didn’t do that before– I’m 22 and he’s 23 but I look young so I’m used to being carded. She took my ID and stared at it for a few minutes, bending it and looking back at me before taking it to her manager. I have a Virginia license and live 15 miles from DC– it’s not like I’m bringing a west coast ID to DC(which shouldn’t be a big deal either-a lot of people come here for work) but after 5 or so minutes she finally gave it back and gave us our drinks. The food was fine and that’s why I’m giving this place 3 stars– I just thought it was weird that she wouldn’t accept my ID at first after she had already taken our order the first time and walked away. I’ve been to the Bertucci’s in Springfield and ordered alcoholic drinks and they carded me right away(I also had great customer service and good food so it could’ve just been the server’s bad day).

The food is alright. I ordered the roasted Tuscan vegetables, the spinach and strawberry salad, and tried some of my aunt’s pizza without the cheese. The roasted vegetables clearly came from a frozen bag. They were all mushy, and I couldn’t even taste any garlic. Come on, man! Use real vegetables. You’re frustrating me, and I’m shaking my fist! The spinach and strawberry salad tasted like it came out of a Grab N‘ Go/On The Go container you see at a 7-Eleven. Nothing to see here! Why are millennials always on the go? I hate millennials. They sap the life out of me with their impatient, holier-than-thou lifestyles. Go ahead and drink all that beer while I write indie novellas that you’ll purchase for $ 30 a piece. Idiots. The pizza was good. Our waiter was super awesome. His name is Caleb. He’s very cute, and his charisma lit up the dining room.

Good food and great service. They accommodated my large group of 20 on a slow Sunday afternoon.

Bertucci’s has BIG portions for decent prices and good service. The pasta dish I ordered didn’t knock my socks off, but it was tasty enough and I enjoyed the caesar salad it came with. The restaurant is a sit-down, but it’s more on the casual side, which is nice if you’re wandering in after work and don’t feel like dressing up in your best outfit. The Dupont location is also not super crowded so we were able to get seated right away without reservations(granted it was a week night). It was my first time visiting a Bertucci’s(it’s a chain with tons of restaurants across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. I’d definitely be up for Bertucci’s again, and I’ve been told that the pizzas are the specialty here, so I’ll have to try that next time.

I am here on vacation and my husband didn’t feel well. He wanted soup. I saw bertuccis on Unilocal and started walking there. I got soup delicious meatballs incredible balsamic chicken wings on the happy hour menu and a margarita pizza. Everything was really good. We are nice and full and have leftovers. I used to go to Bertuccis in Long Island and they were yummy there. Great place. Great service

Poor service, sub par Italian food, and could hardly taste the alcohol in our sangria. Of all the places in DuPont, I don’t know why one should eat Italian here. Portion sizes are big but the food is unoriginal. Perhaps their pizza is good(we ordered pasta dishes) but I’m not really willing to come back and try it.

I’ve only ever had their pizza so I can only speak to that. Absolutely delicious. The cheese is good but the verde pizza is to die for! It has prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula, and some sweet tasting balsamic glaze drizzled all over it. It’s making my mouth water just thinking about it! The personal sized pizza is filling– I could not finish the entire thing. When you eat in they give you bread as well with some garlic butter dipping oil. A bit pricy but nonetheless my new favorite pizza place!

Quite delicious! I wouldn’t have known this place was a chain restaurant if I hadn’t been told. I would recommend their BAKEDTORTELLINIANDCHICKENGRATINATI and CHICKENDOMANI. I’m not a huge pasta fan because I believe I can make most of the dishes. However Bertucci’s does a great job with theirs and serves the food hot(very appreciated). Their Pesto Flatbread was decent but not the best dish on the menu. I liked their fresh dinner rolls. The portions are rich and big. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a Italian meal with good value.

Bertucci’s is a great place if you want to get away from the party seen on Friday night and enjoy a more intimate atmosphere with some friends. They have a wine selection, some specialty pizzas, and their italian dishes are tasty. It’s a step up from Olive Garden in terms of price, size, and taste of dishes(and they have an endless soup and salad selection to boot)! Our waiter wasn’t the nicest guy, but he did make some great suggestions. Like the parfait and Tiramisu… Scrumptious!

I’m not a huge fan of chain restaurants but the great smell drew me in. Almost immediately after being seated I had hot bread, olive oil and a salad in front of me. Opted for the chicken parm casserole. Large serving size and quite tasty. I’m trying not to blame the restaurant for this, and it didn’t affect the rating, but while dining someone approached me asking for a handout. Claimed he had lost his job and asked me to buy him food. I kind of spent the meal feeling guilty about turning him away. This place is too nice to have that type of thing happen.

It’s been ages since I’ve been to a Bertucci’s in DC, but after today’s brief experience, I’m betting my next visit will be ages from now. I stopped in specifically to this location’s takeout area for a few slices of pizza for lunch, and I experienced two problems. Number one, the pizza hadn’t been cooked long enough the first time to begin with. Usually, with a setup like this, the pizzas are partially cooked and then finished off to order. This time around, the pizza was severely undercooked. So my second problem is when the slices were finished off. By the time I got back to my office, which is no more than a four minute walk from this location, the slices were barely room temperature. The only saving grace is the flavor of the sauce, which was fantastic. That one factor might make me try this experience one last time, but that’s certainly up in the air.

If you had any doubt about what they serve here, one look at the walls makes it painfully obvious that you’ve entered a chain Italian store. Now, that being said, these guys have some corporate chef somewhere who is making some decent decisions on the food. Italian fare served cheap and fast doesn’t try too hard and usually doesn’t disappoint. The real draw here is the newly implemented happy hour, which goes 3pm — 8pm. Amazing. If you want $ 2.00PBR tallboys and super cheap food dishes, stop by. There’s not like a shortage of Italian places in DC, and this is not serving up fare you’d find at graffiatos in Chinatown, but it’s a decent chain with consistent fare and a stroller happy hour.

I was going to give this place more stars, the waitress seemed like she was trying and the food wasn’t bad. But they freaking LOST my friends credit card!!! What the heck, how the heck does something like this happen!!! Waitress ran all cards, but did not bring back the check for that credit card or the card. The manager sucked, he did absolutely nothing!

Came here for dinner with a friend, because unlimited soup and salad: P I kid. We got the pasta /pizza, and it was pretty good. Just nothing particularly spectacular. My pasta was a bit undercooked. The drinks seemed to just keep coming for us too.

I love piping hot bread just baked for your table. Service is good. Pizza was similar to New Haven style(thin and a bit crunch/hard crust). They always have specials each month so check out the specials. Large pizza is huge. I think it’s 16 inch. So worth the money! PS: Now they have promotion for ‘like’ on fb or following twitter. You can get a card for free appetizer or dessert. Happy hour is from 4 to 6pm.

If you are looking for Italian food and a chain… here ya go. This is better than olive garden, quick, good service, great location. The pizza is pretty good, i had a ravioli which was so so. Bread and white table cloths complete the ensemble and overall it is a nice experience.
