I had some cranial therapy done by Kelly for TMJ and the difference was like night and day. It made a huge difference, she is a very skilled therapist, definitely recommended!

I have been going to Ann and Marissa (and have used some of the other ones there too) since October 2011! I have had problems with my back and joints/​muscles for many years. I did not have much movement in my lower back when I started there, now I can touch my toes! They are both fabulous pt’s and persons, lots of compassion and knowledge.
The treatment is not always pleasant… Elbows, gua sha, strong hands etc, but as I say ‘No pain, No gain’ And there has been a lot of gain. I know I wont get 100% good, but they keep my body better then any treatment I have tried during the past 30 years. So as long as I live here, I will keep on using them.

Ann is fabulous. She helped me heal & feel safe doing so after a bad C-​section experience with her smart, empathetic approach. This is the kind of place that displays midwives’ business cards in the front office. Highly recommended!

I have been going to Marisa for several months for Integral Bodywork. I have done rolfing, MFR, and other other fascial work previously and have NEVER had the amazing results that I have felt and seen after each session with Marisa. My movement practices have improved. My pelvis, which I thought was pretty much stuck in its place, has moved to a more desirable location. My posture is better. My body hurts less.
Even though our sessions were filled with cursing (always from me), Marisa is great — she’s funny, smart as hell, and approachable (even though my body really, really wants to run away from that stick she has). I may have called her a witch, but I mean that with all the love I could muster during these super-​intense 2.5 hour sessions.
Does it hurt? Pain is just a sensation.
Does it work? Yes.
Should you commit to all ten sessions? Yes.
Is it worth the price? Yes.
Save the money you’re thinking of spending on bodywork that will help some-​but-​not-​enough and have your body completely transformed session by session with Marisa.

I was in an accident Aug 2010, rear ended at (my guesstmate) 75 or 80 mph on the Jersey Turnpike. No broken bones but sore neck, heavy chested feeling, painful left arm and jammed and rotated vertebrae and ribs. My doctor prescribed me pain killers and muscle, periodically put my bones back in place, and after a year pain and adjustments, finally found out about Ann and Marisa’s Body Connect Health and Wellness. At the time, I was in excruciating pain, lost range of motion in my arm, my posture became very poor bc I was accommodating with my right side/​arm. Dressing myself was a 10 on the pain scale. I had little hope of a pain free life and doing the things I love to do. Then I met Ann and Marisa. They understood my problem that NO OTHER DOCTOR expressed… the problem was my fascia being screwed up and after ONLY THREE MONTHS of seeing Ann and Marisa, I regained most range of motion in my arms, take NO pain killers, and have no feeling of chest compression or tingling in my fingers. They have such a gift for knowing where the pain is, and fixing it I want to personally thank you guys for giving me my life back. I love you guys and am forever in your debt.

Body Connect is a totally different and better place for physical therapy! They will make you better fast and let you get over your injury and on with your life! Chrissie is a great to work with at the front desk and Ann, Kelly and the other therapists spend the whole time doing manual work with the patient rather than hooking you up to ice and stim like traditional PT. It is not a factory. They do this work because they care deeply about it and about their patients. Each time I’ve gone to them I’ve felt they totally understood what was going on with me from a whole body perspective and they successfully healed me quickly. I’m still a little amazed that such good outcomes are possible! I first went to Ann for scoliosis issues and she helped change my curvature and reduce pain, then I got in a minor car but painful accident and a few of the therapists there made it a non-​event, then I went for pelvic floor issues after childbirth and Ann helped me be active again and now i’m seeing Kelly who’s doing wonders for a shoulder injury. I hope I don’t ever get hurt again but if I do, I know where to go!

What can I say about BCHW other than they are the best PTs out there and wonderful people, too! The office is calm and lovely. All of the therapists are exceptionally talented and kind, and Chrissie is a gem. Seriously, I would never go anywhere else for physical therapy… I hope I never have to.

I’ve been seeing one of the therapists at Body Connect (Ann) for a back injury over the past year that traditional physical therapy wasn’t helping. I was on the verge of opting for back surgery until being referred to Ann. Not only is her approach to treatment very professional and credible (keep meticulous notes, remembers things I don’t even remember, asks nuanced questions to really understand the nature of your problem, etc.), but the results were life-​changing. My back improved dramatically over the course of a few months and I was able to avoid surgery. I continue to see Ann on a regular basis for maintenance/​preventative treatment and I could not recommend her highly enough.
…and Brett G. is right on the money… Chrissie is indeed a gem.
