Altamente recomendado.

I found Canal through Grubhub. They have a pretty extensive menu which is good for me and my vegetarian fiancé. I went to pick up the food on a Thursday evening, and it took about 45 minutes to prepare. Usually, take out is much faster than that from Chinese Takeout restaurants. I ordered the Chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. The wings were pretty good. The rice wasn’t as flavorful as I would like. Personally I prefer fried rice with egg. My fiancé said her veggie lo mein was ok but didn’t have much flavor either. Honestly, I would go back because it is close to home, and the prices are pretty good.

Standard Americanized Chinese food. I’ve been ordering from them for years since I live in the neighborhood. If you crave this type of food, I’d say it fits the bill!

Ordered from eat24 and 2 hours later my food came. Found a hair in the chicken wings and they didn’t give me the sauce I asked for. Last time I’ll order from there.

I really love this place. I order through Eat24 and tip ahead and everything, and they usually take about 45 mins but I’m fine with that because I know they’re a little ways away from me. The food is great. The egg rolls and spring rolls are delicious, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. The crab Rangoon is really good too, flavorful but not overly sweet. So far I’ve had the general tso’s chicken — I prefer it hot/spicy and it’s really good; fried rice is delicious. I plan to try the rest of the menu but so far, they’ve earned a loyal customer.

No longer on the Georgetown canal — no longer deliver to me. So no Canal and no Express. On the plus side — my GI tract is 42% improved since they moved away. Bitter silver lining on a sad sad cloud.

The food is excellent, and the prices incredibly reasonable. I especially love the hot & sour soup. Just don’t order delivery if you have a callbox. The delivery crew cannot figure out how to use them. Further, they like to follow you into the building uninvited to dispense menus.

OK, i have been eating here everyday for three years, the price is good and food is more Americanized, but they do taste good. Different people have different eating habits, I personally can’t even eat pizza because i think it taste like hell, and will through from my stomach if I eat one. So, maybe you think the food is bad does not mean the food is bad to all of your guys. sometime this place can be very busy due to take out and delivery orders, not so many people will actually eat inside the restaurant. Delivery is really fast, much better than those Chinatown takeouts which takes two hours. Very nice services they are not generally rude unless you speak too much on the phone and try to avoid paying the order or play tricks.

I ordered a kung pao chicken combination platter and enjoyed it. The vegetables were crisp and flavorful and the sauce had a good kick to it(it was not overwhelming salty either). I like that this restaurant offers white rice with its combination platters by default instead of fried rice. I’ll be very happy to order from here again when I’m in the mood for Chinese takeout.

I ordered once and it wasn’t bad but not good. Just ok if you have really hungry. Not subtle, too greasy. The sweet and sour sauce looked chemical… I was disappointed, really, and I’ll never order there, sorry.

On the plus side: it’s cheap. But not even worth the price. Food is bland and very greasy.

I ordered from Canal Express through Seamless, so I won’t comment on the nature of the delivery. This review is all about the food! It’s a traditional Americanized Chinese food restaurant, which is exactly what I want when I say that«I’m in the mood for Chinese food.» I’ve ordered from this restaurant four or five times now, and each time have returned to the crispy sesame chicken. It is prepared in a very unique(read: sugary coating!) manner, and I find myself craving it. I’ve tried a variety of their other entrees, and while they’re decent, nothing comes close to the crispy sesame chicken! I’ve had the sesame chicken, the chicken and broccoli, the beef and broccoli, the egg rolls, the fried rice, the white rice, and of course, the crispy sesame chicken. The combination platters are a great deal and you get a great bounty of food for the price. One entrée alone is definitely enough food for a single person to make three or four sizable meals from. This isn’t gourmet, but I doubt anyone would expect it to be. The prices are affordable, the food is delivered quickly, the portions are plentiful, and the flavor is on-point.

I was lured in by the cheap prices and free delivery, but never again. The Sha Cha chicken was so bad I actually gave it to my dog. The soft noodle pork soup was so boring and bland it was only edible after doctoring it up with chili oil and other flavors. Egg roll was«meh» and the egg flower was the standard neon yellow, corn starch thickened prototype that seems to be standard for the DC area.

Notice that this address is inaccurate! The new location is on 4830 MacArthur Blvd I’ve always had a positive experience with the lunch specials from this restaurant, which is a great deal!

I have only ever ordered their General Tso’s(yeah I know it isn’t real Chinese food, but it is really good so who cares), and if I could have one meal on Earth, it would be that. Lived off of this place in college.

I love that you can order from Canal Express online, pay with a credit card online, and tip in cash. The delivery service was fast, their menu is pretty expansive, and the online ordering system is organized and efficient. It is what it is. I haven’t had disgusting food, but it wasn’t gourmet fine dining either.

Amy P. hit it on the dot, it should be called Anal Express. Don’t know what Edward O. is talking about, this place has nasty food. I ordered veggie fried rice & it litrally smelled like s**t. After eating ¼ of it, I couldn’t bear the smell of it. I would avoid this place. If u eat the food, well then good luck. Hope ur not in pain like I was.

Solid all-around delivery experience. The food is reasonably tasty, generously portioned, and priced competitively. Their double cooked pork is especially good. Delivery speed is nothing short of astonishing — we’re talking less than 20 minutes.

gross. haha, Anal Express. Nice, Amy P. Fortunately, I haven’t digested enough to witness those effects yet, but I can almost feel it coming now. First of all, too much fish sauce. Do they even know how fish sauce is made? gross. Second, i don’t think what I ate was chicken. Third, there were more onions in the lo mein than there was lo mein.(and there shouldn’t be onions in lo mein. At least not in mine because i hate onions.) Fourth, the service was awful. When i called for delivery, the girl on the phone was rude to me. «Can you just place your order now?» she said. I should have hung up on her. The delivery guy called me .wait lemmie check my phone… five. FIVE times. five. If I order something to be delivered, it should just be delivered. My place is really easy to find — you shouldn’t have to call me to let me know you’ve arrived. The only reason they’re even getting one star is because they’re fairly cheap, but still not cheap enough to make up for being the kind of place from which you get food that you kinda push around on your plate because you just can’t bring yourself to eat more. All aboard the FAILBOAT. toot toooot!
