Chick-fil-A in Catholic University’s Pryzbyla Center food court. I had the chicken nuggets which tasted as expected. Good and fast.

2.5 stars — I normally love all things Chick-fil-A. I’m talking the drive way out of your way and wait in long lines in bad weather kinda’ love. Don’t think it doesn’t pain me to write a somewhat negative review. PRO: at least we now have a Chicky option! Plus, the food isn’t bad. Now, it’s not always great, but it does fulfill that sometimes desperate food craving no other establishment can quite reach. The Bad News: They have an AWFUL habit of very regularly running out of fries, coleslaw and nuggets way before the end of the day, but then not telling anyone already standing in line. Today, I waited in line(in the windy, chilly weather) using all of the free time I had, only to finally learn when it was my turn that they had previously run out of everything but sandwiches. Argh!!! Had they bothered to post that information, I would have gone elsewhere. That’s not all. The staff is unfortunately not the typical Chick-fil-A staff, aka, they’re semi-rude. That’s likely why they can’t bother to post signs when they’ve run out of food. Finally, I’m sorry to report that the normally consistent food is not going to quite hold that standard when you purchase it from the truck. Today’s sandwich was not crispy, lacked batter and was low on seasoning. I’m afraid that’s sometimes the case. Will I go back? Probably. I’m just hooked on getting my fix, but I don’t always expect too much from them. I also suggest you go EARLY, as soon as you can. Running late? Don’t bother. Try again another day. They’ll already be out of food.

I was near the Verizon Center and the truck was nearby. You can get reasonable sandwiches. The choices aren’t as varied as the restaurant but that is understandable. It is worth a visit when you can find a truck.

Food trucks descended on Georgetown University in celebration of Georgetown day and this was by far the most popular. It was so popular that everyone was cutting in line(just talking with friends… not) and getting rather violent(lots of drunk people at noon) about getting ahold of a delicious Chick-Fil-A sandwich. Remind me again why there is no Chick-fil-A in DC and virtually no fast food in Georgetown other than Chipotle. It creates a mob mentality whenever they finally show up. Anyways after waiting over an hour in line I got two chicken sandwiches and they were so good. I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as one of their main locations, but it was if not even better. By the time I was getting close to the window to order, any semblance of a line had disappeared and there was just a giant mob of people pushing up against the truck threatening to flip the truck. The manager had to come out and ask people to make a line and try and talk people out of cutting into the line near the front. As you can imagine, that went over well with a lot of drunk rowdy undergrads. It was great that he came out, but really it would have been better if he came out an hour earlier to monitor the line before it got out of hand. If you find a Chick-fil-A eat there, its worth it. If its at a very popular event watch out for rowdy, hungry people and consider eating elsewhere.

The food from this chick-fil-a truck was just as good as the normal stores. However, it was a tad bit greasier and pricier than the actual stores. For $ 8.25 you can get a chicken sandwich or nuggets, waffle fries, and a can drink or bottle water. The truck also carries iced tea, lemonade, the coleslaw and brownies a la carte.

Love Chick-fil-a generally, and the food from the truck is just as good. They recently added waffle fries to the options, so now I can get my nuggets, fries, and lemonade while at work in DC!

Definitely feel like the food from the truck is equivalent to what you get at their stores. HOWEVER, why on Earth would you not give waffle fries?! Also $ 8.25 for a sandwich or nuggets and two sides(coleslaw, chips, or cookie) is a little on the high side — and that doesn’t include a drink. I’ll probably be back but I like their stores better. One star docked for no fries and one star docked for price. Oh and they charge you an extra $ 0.05 if you want a bag — which no other food truck does — not cool.

I don’t care what he said or how limited the menu is, the chicken is prepared no differently than in their brick and mortars. In terms of quality of product and consistency of execution, the rest of the mom and pop trucks could learn a thing from these guys.

Meh. What do you want to see next, McDonald’s food trucks? This is not what food trucks are or should be about, in my opinion. Never mind the owner’s politics, this is generic fast food. It’s not horrible, but it does not deserve better than 1 star. Unless you want big corporations dominating the food truck scene, boycott it.

4.5 Stars :-) Yay! Finally the Chick-Fil-A Mobile truck has arrived! It is exactly the same goodness as in the non-wheeled variety. The only thing missing(and the reason for half a star deduction) are the waffle fries. I never heard the official reason why, but it was a difficult decision for the mobile team. «Where are the waffle fries?» was also the question most in line were asking as well. I posted pics of their combo and a-la-carte menus. It’s really well priced for a truck, and with such a long line of customers, I expect the arrival of CFA Mobile will shake up the competition a bit. I would not be surprised to see some new specials and maybe some price adjustment taking place to lure people away from the«Chikin on Wheels» laden truck. Will I be back? Uh… yes!
