If you’re hungry and in a hurry, this is a good place to go. There is nothing attractive about the appearance, but the service is quick and the food is okay. As a rule, I order chicken wings with fried rice, which isn’t bad. Today, though, I ordered a fish sub with French fries(it’s Friday so there’s no such thing as a calorie, right). Pleasantly surprised with the sub. It was pretty good! They’d receive more stars if they would spruce up a bit.

Okay… so i grew up in DC but spent most of my adult life in Los Angeles. i just recently moved back for work and i’m re-acquainting myself with my old environs. i bought a house just off Georgia Avenue in NW and i was shocked to see how many chinese carry-outs there are on this Georgia Avenue corridor that advertise the food available as: «Chinese, Seafood, Chicken, and Subs…» really? i’ve heard of ghetto fabulous«fusion» cuisine, but this is a bit ridiculous, no? so… tell me DC natives, is this a phenomenon unique to DC or is common elsewhere on the east coast(i know it isn’t in LA)… and is this a relatively recent trend or was i just not paying attention back in high school when i last lived here? anyway, i digress. so, i just bought a house near this place and thought i’d give it a try. after all, everyone needs a reliable Chinese carry-out in their new neighborhood, right? well, this place is nothing particularly special, but it’s perfectly serviceable. for this genre of food(Chinese fast food), it is about average if not a little above average. now, don’t get me wrong, this ain’t fine dining, but i’m judging here just as a take-out/delivery option. they serve up perfectly tasty(if not a little overly greasy fare), and though i have not ventured into«seafood and chicken» categories yet, i did have a 6″ «philly hoagie» that i will not make the mistake of trying again. i’ll be passing on their sandwich options in the future. anyway, i’m giving this place a solid 3 stars. nothing spectacular, but cheap and better than your average Chinese greasy spoon.

This place is nothing pretty, so if your looking for 5 stars… this is not the place… but if u want some good hole-in-the-wall Chinese carry out… then this is the place… The lunch specials are a lot of food for a lot price… and nothing I’ve had from there has been terrible… good eats at low prices…
