Citibank

The place is my frequent banking facility in Washington DC. To be honest, I am not a big fan here. The service is professional, but distant. They are not make genuine efforts to do business with you. Of course, I am not a rich guy, so probably that helps to explain everything.

Here’s the thing, I tend to lose my ATM card a lot. In fact, I’ve once lost it twice in a span of less than two weeks and I’ve always come to this branch to get it replaced with little to no problems. In that past when I’ve tried to get my ATM card replaced at CitiBank branches (except for the one in Capitola) I’ve to go through all this nonsense of having a temporary card that only works as a straight forward ATM card then have a real working one delivered to my parents’ house two weeks later and then have them mail that one back to whatever my current address was at the time. Basically, it was all an un-​needed hassle but at this branch they always get me a replacement within 24 hours in the actual branch or mail it to my office, but the branch is only 3 blocks from my office so it makes no sense to have them mail it.
The lady at the front reception area is very nice and the staff generally remembers the customers well enough and works to get through the sometimes long lines fairly quickly.
Considering all the trouble I’ve had with banks in the past, me writing a positive review for this branch says a lot about it because I’m in here fairly often either replacing a missing ATM card or getting money orders for my rent.
