Classical Acupuncture

I have been a patient of Alex’s for the last four years mostly for issues stemming from anxiety and stress. I go once a month, and I always look forward to my appointment. I leave her office feeling refreshed, relaxed, calm, and able to breathe deeply again. I always get the best night’s sleep after a treatment, too!
Not only does Alex treat my physical ailments, but she encourages me to talk about my anxieties and offers caring advice and helpful insight. She has helped me through some challenging times, and I definitely feel better equipped to handle future stressors that may arise.
I started getting acupuncture about 10 years ago, and I find it to not only helps me manage my stress and anxiety, but it also can truly «cure anything that ails you». Alex has treated my sinus pain, cold symptoms, stomach disorders, jaw tension, and many other issues over the years. I always tell anyone who has any pain or ailments of any kind that they should try acupuncture, as I have always found it to be an incredibly effective way to feel better. I think of Alex as my «fixer.» I take problems to her that no one else has been able to address satisfactorily.
Most doctors want to help, but they prescribe pills that often have terrible side effects for me. She’s stepped in to help me with depression and migraines. After seeing Alex, I feel «normal» with none of the side effects.
Alex is also there during cold and flu season, when antibiotics have no power. She’s helped me stop a cold in its tracks before it could progress to something worse, like a sinus infection.
With Alex, I leave feeling better and like a normal human.

Alex is amazing. Her demeanor is very soothing, and her application of acupuncture never fails to make me feel amazing after each appointment. Acupuncture doesn’t address every kind of problem your body can have, but it addresses a lot more than I thought it did.
I have gone to her a few times for injured muscles. The first time I could hardly move due to a improper lifting technique I had used when moving furniture. She underpromised — saying I’d feel better the next day, and overdelivered — the pain was 80−90% gone within a few hours. There’s truly no other treatment like it.
Alex’s skill in this field is complimented by her knowledge of herbs which helped to solve a couple other issues I’d been having. I’ve had exczema on my hands for over 12 years and no treatment has worked. I’ve tried reducing stress, ointments, vitamin supplements, wax — basically everything I’ve heard of. I even dated a doctor at one point and her proposed treatment didn’t work, so I was convinced it was untreatable. Alex gave me an herbal supplement that has made the condition better than it has ever been. It doesnt ever go away completely, but I still consider it a small miracle.

Alex is awesome! I wasn’t feeling right for months but there wasn’t a clear medical diagnosis. But I knew I was «off» and needed to do something. I went to meet with her for a consultation and knew immediately I wanted to work with her. Her energy is so soothing and calming. There was no pressure and she was really knowledgeable. I have only been a few times but feel like I’m on cloud nine when I leave, I’m so relaxed. There is definitely something to this. I’m sure you could find a cheaper place to go, but you get what you pay for. This woman knows her stuff.

I was new to acupuncture until the fall of 2009. I had been complaining of fatigue even after getting a full nights sleep. After much complaining and dragging myself into the office, my colleague who is an acupuncturist herself recommended Alex Knox to me.
I was dealing with a lot of stress and tension in my life so I figured I’d give it a shot. After the first visit, I felt like someone cleaned me out from the inside. Upon leaving I felt like I had 3 glasses of wine (and trust me I was stone cold sober). After going for about 2 months getting myself back on track the sleep and other things I had been dealing with, were so much improved. I totally recommend her to you if you are open to acupuncture.
