Five stars for carry out only. My only complaint is that they don’t have fortune cookies. They refuse to carry them. I’ve been a regular customer at Danny’s for 11 years now. It is your typical urban Chinese takeout stand. There is no dining area. It is better to pay cash, there is a minimum for using credit cards. The shopping center appears dangerous at times, but it is just an illusion. Fairfax Village is actually a very safe area, with a strong police presence and friendly neighbors.

I’ve been living in the neighborhood for a number of years now, and have always walked by this place on my way to the cleaners and/or the post office (not to mention, I’ve also sworn off carryouts) Well, one fateful evening, I was too lazy to cook, so I called Danny’s to make an order. When I got home with my food, I was expecting to be underwhelmed with what I ordered… Well I was shocked! I couldn’t believe how delicious my food was… I mean, I just couldn’t believe it! Now I’m thrilled I live in walking distance to this place for when those rare occasions come when I’ll want to order some Chinese-American carryout.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere what you would expect for the inner city with
a woman screaming about how you need Jesus, and guys playing cards and selling scents
right in the storefront.
everyone was friendly and non-threatening. You could play 3 card monty for money, or
just sit to the side and smile.
Anyway the food was good, and I became a born-again-card-playing Christian that night :-)
