Hands down! This is the best pizza from a food truck and it is better than most pizzerias. I had a slice of pepperoni. The crust is thin but slightly chewy. There is a nice amount of mozzarella and sprinkling of oregano and other Italian spices. The pizza comes in a nice cardboard box that makes it easy to take back to your desk.

Better pizza than I get at the local shop by work!

Amazing pizza hands down. Buffalo chicken is my favorite. They are always so friendly. Get some freshly cut basil on your pizza… adds a little kick to your pizza! Also — old bay/Cajun tots… to die for!!!

Amazing pizza, superb restaurant quality from a food truck. This review is for the buffalo chicken pizza and veggie slices. The buffalo chicken is as good as everyone says it is, the cashier added bleu cheese and fresh basil which only enhanced an already good slice. The veggie slice had delicious tomatoes and crunchy green peppers with red onions. The sauce was a bit heavy but it was robust and left an excellent aftertaste. I haven’t followed a food truck on Food Truck Fiesta since Bada Bing, add DC Slices to that shortlist.

This pizza is amazing and at $ 4 as slice, a great value. I’ve had the buffalo chicken, vege, and pepperoni items. The tator tots and wings are delicious too.

We had a chance to sample several food trucks at the Woodbridge Trickiest. This slices we got from the DC Slices truck were excellent! We had one pepperoni and one pepperoni and sausage. The crust was thin and crunchy, and the meat was so fresh. It was so tasty. The slices were very large.

A decent pizza with a misleading name. DC slices had a pizza similar to many pizza chains. But contrary to their name, you cannot buy a single slice, but only a ‘whole pie’. The wait was longer than said, and was extremely overpriced with 20 $ a pizza and 1 $ for every extra topping.

This pizza is super good for what it is — drunk food pizza. I’m so glad DC slices is at all of the area festivals, because it honestly hits the spot after a few drinks. Always hot, and even the BBQ chicken is good. The staff is incredibly friendly too, which makes a difference.

DC food trucks rock! I caught DC slices not knowing they would be where I was and not having lunch yet it was a perfect opportunity to take care of that. And unlike truckeroo where they usually have a line, I was happy to be #1 for getting my slice. So $ 4 later, I had this huge pepperoni slice to chow down on. Everything about it was great; the flavor, the crust, and the toppings. And yes, all from a truck. Thank you DC slices for taking away my hunger.

When I came here for lunch, I had been craving pizza for a couple days now. I could’ve easily gone to the pizzeria around the corner from my job that I really like, but when I saw the DC Slices truck was in my area, I thought I’d check them out. I was sold when I looked up their menu and they had tater tots. Tater tots AND Pizza? Yup I’m in! I ordered one meatball slice & bacon cheddar tater tots. You might consider that overboard, but it was worth it. The pizza was pretty good. I like my NY slices, so I can be critical about pizza sometimes, but this was quite good. The bacon cheddar tots were also awesome. The bacon was actual chunks of bacon rather than bacon bits & they used shredded cheese instead of cheese sauce. The tots themselves reminded me of breakfast tater tots(yes I distinguish tater tots like that), but I’m not gonna complain about that because the combination was delicious. I remember asking my coworker to call my desk in an hour to make sure I was still awake, because I was quite sure I was gonna fall into food coma. Even if I hadn’t answered the phone when she called, the food coma would’ve been worth it!

The line is the only reason I’m not granting DC Slices 5 stars. If you don’t get out there early, there’s a good chance you’ll wait in line for a solid ½ hour. I enjoy the pizza — fresh ingredients, always hot and well-made. I usually go for just basic cheese with fresh mozzarella, but have also gotten the sausage and onion before, and my co-worker told me just this past week they had BBQ chicken. So, lots of varieties of pizza and they change it up. Slices are BIG, too. I usually can’t finish the second one. They listen to their customers too — one time, one of my co-workers told them that they’d have another customer for their sausage, onion, and green pepper pizza if they eliminated the green pepper(me — I hate green peppers!) and they actually did it a few weeks back. As promised, I ordered that one! Prices aren’t bad at all — $ 4 per slice puts my lunch at $ 8 typically and that’s less than most other food trucks(then again… it IS pizza, which is cheap to make). I’m a regular customer.

I never get to fully enjoy the DC food truck scene unless I’m at an event that happens to have one. Luckily at Drink The District there sat the wonderful DC Slices truck. They had a very amazing special of 2 slices for $ 6 + free hugs that I couldn’t resist. I love when businesses think outside the box and aren’t afraid to get silly with their customers and I found nothing short of awesome at DC Slices. It was pretty cold outside but that didn’t stop the guys inside the truck from being super friendly and goofy with me as we posed for pictures with them. Did I mention the pizza was top notch? Because it was :)

It’s a chilly day and I was craving pizza. I ordered a plain slice for myself and some pizza tots to share, and was told it would be 10 minutes. Seemed like a long wait for a food truck, but sure. Over 15 minutes of standing in the cold later, our order was ready. When we got back to the office, i realized they gave me the wrong kind of pizza, which seemed like it was reheated instead of fresh. Two stars for decent tots, which are really difficult to mess up anyway. Disappointing.

Two words: Tater Tots. Why doesn’t everyone sell tater tots? They’re only one of the best things on earth and why not top it off with cheese, marinara sauce and pepperoni. Yes please! Oh and their pizza is pretty good too. ;)

I’m a huge fan of buffalo chicken slices, so naturally I ordered one when I stopped here for lunch. It wasn’t awful, but it was extremely disappointing. I actually forgot it was a buffalo chicken slice while eating it because there was so little chicken on it and not a single hint of buffalo sauce. Literally, not a single bite It probably could have passed as just a plain slice that accidentally had a few jalapenos and small pieces of chicken fall on it. I definitely wouldn’t recommend a buffalo chicken slice from here although a plain slice wouldn’t be a terrible option.

They had good menu, and I was torn between the buffalo chicken pizza and the spicy smoked gouda pizza(neither of which are shown on their online menu). I decided on the smoked gouda pizza because this was spicy like the buffalo pizza, had chicken like the buffalo pizza, but also had my favorite cheese. The toppings are smoked gouda, chunks of chicken, chipotle pepper sauce(mmm…), roasted red peppers, red onions, and fresh basil. Very fresh ingredients. A picture tells a thousand words. Normally when you get pizza by the slice, they take cold pizza and stick it in a toaster, and you end up with an overly crisp crust. This slice was warm and didn’t give me the impression that it had been reheated. The crust was thin and slightly crispy, just the way I like it. I usually don’t eat the crust(why fill up on plain crust when you could just start eating another slice?) but this was good enough to eat. The tomato sauce was also great. Just the right amount, and not too salty. Let me get started on the smoked gouda. Gouda is good. Very good. A few years ago I created a holiday with a friend called«GoudaFri.» We would alternate bringing a big block of gouda to work every Friday, and we would eat gouda and do absolutely nothing else. I’d always wondered why I’d never seen gouda cheese on a pizza(roquefort and feta are also great, slightly more common pizza cheeses). The gouda on this pizza was everything I dreamed it would be. For any slice you get, you have the option of fresh basil, crushed rep pepper, oregano, and parmesan cheese. I opted out of the latter three because I find that these toppings make all pizza taste the same.

I finally got to try DC Slices. Everytime I try to go on U Street, they have left by the time I stumble out of the bar. They were only doing whole pies, which was fine with me. I went for the veggie option, sans mushrooms and onions. Yay for a custom option. It’s about an 8 minute wait for a pie. I loved the pizza. The cheese to sauce to topping ratio was good and crust was crisp. Loved the fresh basil addition, too. I’ll be on the look out for DC Slices.

What to expect: decent pizza, they show up @Farragaunt Circle, not gourmet food What I got from it: We were happy there was another option of food offered at a recent event held at 3 Stars Brewery. But unfortunately, it wasn’t the best deal for our money. They offered a deal that gave you a pizza for the flat rate of $ 9 with any toppings you chose. I got the Sausage, Onion, and Pepperoni and it looked like they gave it all their love! On the other hand, my friend ordered a pepperoni and jalapeño and found it lack luster. Another friend ordered some Tater Tots with pepperoni and cheese, though wished it had more cheese and pepperoni. Friendly service and fast! We’re grateful for the food, but may think twice if we have other options.

I’ve tried this truck twice and it’s definitely an A-OK in my book! In addition to huge slices of traditional styles of pizza, they also sell tater tots and cheese sticks. Pizza is $ 4, tots and cheese sticks are $ 4(sweet potato tots are $ 5). It’s quick(the most I’ve ever waited was 5 minutes), easy, and the service has always been friendly. You also have the option of adding basil, dried red peppers, and parmesan on your pie afterward. They also accept credit cards!

If you read my other reviews you’ll see that I love pizza. If pizza was a woman, we’d be married and in a loving relationship. I’ve never had it from a food truck before but there’s a first time for everything. I noticed the menu and ordered a slice with sausage. The slices are quite large and very foldable which is how I like to eat NY style pizza. I’ll have to check their other items especially their tator tots and other slices. Please come back DC slices, I need you across my building!
