Dr. Farzaneh Rostami

I had a bad experience. She was rude and unprofessional.

I recently saw Dr Rostami for the first time for extraction of two teeth (one impacted) and strongly recommend her. A true professional, she took time to listen and explained the procedure in advance. It was over before I knew it! Her skills are impressive. I had minimal swelling and pain. The price quoted to me up front was what I was charged — no hidden extras. The staff was courteous & knowledgeable as well. My
former oral surgeon retired so I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Rostami.

I had an extremely negative experience with Dr. Rostami during a consultation for TMD. She asked about three questions and wanted to take x-​rays, but couldn’t or wouldn’t answer my most basic questions about how the x-​rays would inform her recommendation as to treatment. She seemed offended by the questions and rudely responded that she «was the clinician.» She is in the Montgomery Oral & Facial Surgery and Washington Oral Surgery Associates practices, and I cannot speak to whether this attitude persists throughout them. I did not have a doctor preference when I booked the appointment, and she had loads of availability, which is sometimes very telling. I did not get any sense that she was competent or caring, instead it just seemed like she wanted to spend as little time as possible while charging me more money. It was such a bad experience that I regret paying the low copay – neither I nor my insurance plan should have to pay for this, because it wasn’t even a consultation. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

I was referred to Dr. Rostami for wisdom teeth extractions. She has definitely got both beauty and brains and an amazing personality. I was so nervous before the procedure she calmed me down and made my experience a relaxing one. She is also very knowledgable and explained the procedure to me thoroughly and would definitely recommend her!
