While I am a fan of Dr. Theobalds, this is less of a review and more of a correction to Jill D’s review. She states that «everything was done by the nurse, who was very nice.» this is a common misconception. Dr. Theobalds helps teach Physician Assistant students and the person that she saw was most likely one of his students(as I was). First year students are heavily suppervised while second year students are given more autonomy. This is a typical set up in all medical training. Rest assured that EVERYTHING is presented to the doctor before the patient is released… hence the conversation in the hallway. If Dr. Theobald had any concerns he would absolutely see the patient himself.

Located in the Corporate Suites of Washington(or something like that), it is in a large apartment building on the first floor. I was a little thrown off by the setting and the hallway down which I walked was dark and uninviting, but at the end of the hallway is a large glass door with his name on it. I walked in and there was a nice waiting room and a clean receptionist desk. The staff was nice and when I was getting my physical done, everyone said hello to me and seemed to enjoy being there. The facility is very clean and everyone is put together. The one thing that was odd was that I never actually met John Theobalds. I saw him walk by but everything was done by the nurse, who was very nice. I only went in for a physical and TB test(for volunteering) and there was a backup in the waiting room, so I can assume that is why he never came in. Also, if I had a question the nurse would go in the hall and ask him(and I could hear him) when he could have come and introduced himself since I am a new patient. I wasn’t here needing a prescription, though… so can you blame him? Everyone was very nice otherwise. I waited about 35 minutes for my appointment, but I was filling out paper work/paying copays so that took up some time. 5 – 10 minute walk from the metro, convenient to columbia heights/mt pleasant/adams morgan/16th street dwellers. I will go back again
