By far one the best in dc and at a decent price. I recently moved into the area and was struggling to find my go to nail salon. Finally found it !!!

Awesome shop. Very friendly staff. Emma always takes great care of me regardless how awful my nails have gotten. LOL

So I’m new to the area and based off reviews this place was my first pick for nails. I went in and Emma did my nails. I had a full set that was due to be replaced, she convinced me to give the SNS nails a try. They looked ok and I got a gel color coat on top. They looked fine when I left, but witching 5 minutes the gel started bubbling. I went back and she fixed the 2 nails. That night in the shower all the nails started bubbling and and 1 broke. I went back and she fixed them again. Same thing happened again during the weekend, only now all the nails started to break and crumble. Since they had already been fixed 3 times I went to another salon to get the fixed. No issues.

I was given a gift card to this nail salon as a Christmas gift so I finally decided to give it a try. Based on reviews I read, I booked an appointment with Emma. Emma was great personality wise. Fun and easy to have a conversation with. The reason for the three stars was the manicure service. As stated earlier, I made an appointment. However, I felt my gel manicure was a bit rushed. After I was seated and Emma was off to doing her thing. Another woman came in wanting her eyebrows done. Either Emma was the only one who could do it or she was requested. Emma was asked how long it would take for her to finish my manicure and she underestimated how long it would take. Needless to say the other lady grew impatient. At that point I feel like Emma rushed to finish up with me to service the other woman. Well she finished, I liked my nails and I went about my business. BUT, a day later one of my nails began to peel badly and another began chipping. I did call the salon to see if they could fix it. They obliged and again I walked away liking my nails. Would I go to this salon again? No. For their price (without a gift card) I would like better quality nails and a non rushed experience.

Love fanatix. I go to Nina (Emma is good too) and she consistently does a great job on my nails and pedicures. She’s a bit of a perfectionist which I appreciate because she ALWAYS makes sure my nails look fabulous. The salon is clean and well kept. I suggest making an appointment as it can get pretty busy especially after work later in the week and on Weekends. I like being offered refreshments while I’m being serviced as well. The nail polish selection is great and the services they offer are also more than most places. Definitely recommend you come to Fanatix if you are looking for a salon in the DC area.

Emma! That’s pretty much all you need to know. :) I’ve been coming here for about a year now and the first couple of times I came I didn’t have a «go-​to» person but still really enjoyed the technicians. It wasn’t until I was referred to Emma that I fell in love with this place though! She’s awesome. Great personality and amazing service. She is very thorough and listens to your wants and needs. She’s also concerned with the condition of your nails. I also sincerely appreciate the fact that she seems to actually care about if every customer walks out happy (not just hers). So if you haven’t gotten the point of this, refer to the beginning of this review. (Hint: Emma! Lol)

I switched to Emma. She’s awesome and super sweet. No issues with gel chipping and as long as I have an appointment there’s no wait. Call the day before to make an appointment!

So I’ve been 3 times now and I absolutely love it. KELLY is my nail tech and she is great. She keeps my nails on point with the SNS. I’m hoping they get more colors soon but for now the Polish works out just fine. We have a few drinks have some girl talk while we endure the beauty process. I always make an appointment for my nails and pedicure before I leave the shop. This has become a pleasant routine.

So I am leaving for vacation tomorrow and I needed my nails done badly. Of course I used Unilocal to locate something that was close by my job. I was able to walk in and get my gel fill done in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The lady who did my nails was older, but she did a very good job. She cleaned my nails up and polished them very well !! I would go back!

I always have a great experience when I come here. Not only am I extremely comfortable but I am extremely satisfied with the service provided to me. I would share my tech’s name but I’m gonna be stingy because I don’t want her to keep being booked :(lol. But all of the techs there will give you an awesome experience. The selection of product is amazing! I recommend this place to all my friends.

The customer service, gel and regular polish colors, and fresh and inviting atmosphere were all top notch! Having just moved to the District, I walked to the closest salon, and ended up scoring big. Sarah was so kind and accommodating and gave a fantastic Shellac manicure.
I’ll be back on a regular basis!

There are so many great things I could say about this place but a pic is worth 1000 words so I posted some. In short, it was my first time there and my first time getting a liquid gel overlay and I was pleased with everything and everyone. I had an awesome time. This is definitely my new «goto» nail salon.

I couldn’t agree more with the good reviews this place rightfully deserves.
Starting with location– Fanatix nails is only a 2 minute walk from Potomac Ave metro station. It’s a bit of a small place but they make the most out of their space. It’s got a classy ambiance and they even offer wine while you get your nails or feet done.
Yesterday, I walked in badly needing a manicure around 7:15 PM. It was a bit crowded and there was a wait time of about 15 minutes. I was ok with waiting but a bit skeptical given that their closing time is 8:00 PM and I thought they would rush the process. I waited indeed and couldn’t be happier with the results.
Emma took amazing care of my nails. She’s nice and attentive. More importantly, she’s very detailed. At no point I felt rushed. She had the patience to make sure my nails came out just right.
Their prices are reasonable– about $ 15 for a regular manicure and $ 30 for gel. I went with the gel but their regular nail polish includes a nice selection of Essie. Very pleased with this place, I think I may found found my nail spot.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: I don’t think there is anyone that’s more anal than myself when it comes to perfection. After going to the same nail salon for over 15 years, due to commute issues… thanks to the referral of a great friend of mine whom is also just as anal as I am… I decided to give Fanatix Nails & Spa a try. I have been patronizing this salon for close to a year now and I want everyone in the DC, MD and VA area to know that the nail technician KEVIN is the Michael Jordan of nails! He gets the job done correctly… EVERY TIME! If you want someone that is going to not only take their time, yet is a perfectionist to its fullest… KEVIN is your guy.

Found this place on Unilocal.Left a previous salon because my favorite nail tech left. Fanatix was a great experience. Very friendly people. I love how the place looks and they serve water and wine. I made my appointment with Kelly thanks to other reviews. She was amazing. Very nice. She talked to me. And my nails looks great.

Just awesome, really. Took the advice of friends who told me Kevin is a must, and he is! As of today, my manicure is a week old and still looks lovely and fresh. He is not rough at all and takes his time, he is not letting you get out of his chair unless your nails look perfect. My search is over

Kevin is amazing!!! I’d been going to the same place for years and while it was decent, I didnt know what I was missing! A friend of mine suggested I try Kevin and I am forever in her debt. He is funny and nice, but more importantly, he really takes pride in his work. Your nails represent him and he takes his time to make sure they are BEAU-​TI-​FUL! My gel manicure used to chip in less than a week (old place) and now I can go 3 weeks before I see Kevin again. Go try him for yourself, you wont regret it!
Helpful Hints: Please tip in cash, call for an appointment, and try not to go on the weekends. Oh and Kevin does nails not eyebrows or lashes!

So I found this spot on Unilocal and I must say I am super impressed! I originally went in looking for Emma or Kelly based off the reviews but then I met Nina! I get the special SNS acrylic which has vitamins, protein and calcium. I was originally against it because I prefer gel but not anymore. Emma did a good job but Nina is perfect for me. She reshaped my nails and they look amazing! Just be sure to make an appointment and keep it!!! #SNS #nina

I love this place! Kelly, Emma and Kevin are soo good and soo nice! The vibe is incrediblyrelaxing, I always leave feeling better. And abundant street parking and free homemade sangria don’t hurt!

I absolutely LOVE this shop. Its like the best discovery Ive had since moving back to the area in August 2014.
Located right on Pennsylvania Avenue and metro accessible its been a lifesaver for me. They have a specialty drink of the day, red/​white wine and non-​alcoholic beverages while you are serviced. I like the prices are not ridiculously high, the shop always smeels/​looks clean and the staff isn’t «new» everytime I walk in, its great to see a familiar face.
They have done an awesome job since I discovered them and I will continue to go back
