If you are looking for a good cut or fade this is the place to go in DC. I tried many locations when I moved here this summer but those places either messed up my hair or cost an arm and a leg. This isn’t the boutique barbershop such as Hair Cuttery or Super Cuts which I think the first poster is looking for lol. Fresh Cut’s is your local urban staple where I get the style I want and results that have others usually asking me where I go. I can’t vouch for all the barbers here because Al or Bernard cut my hair therefore I can only vouch for them. There are about 8 barbers in there so the wait time is usually minimal. The price is $ 18 for a hair cut which based on DC standards is very cheap since most I went to want $ 25 – 40. If you want to look good, be in and out within 45, and don’t mind fancy fixtures missing on wall like Super Cuts then check them out.

The guy said he has been in business for 23 years! I don’t think all those years were as a barber. The place was empty and he was sitting outside. That, and the fact that all the posters showed Black hairstyles, should have been signs for me to walk right out, but I decided to give him a try. He didn’t know how to cut my hair. He did the entire cut using trimmers and not once did he check to see if the cut was even. Also, those trimmers have got to be illegal. At the end of the cut he swabbed my scalp with an alcohol pad and every part of my scalp that the un-guarded trimmers had touched burned! Bottom line, I’m not going back there.
