I have been going to Flami for years and absolutely love her. She moved from a Georgetown hair salon to her own location on U and the place itself is awesome and so chic, I just want to hang out there all day. I get a brow maintenance every couple of months (sometimes I slip and go longer than I should) plus an eyebrow tint. I can’t do wax or threading because my brows are so sensitive, nor would I even trust anyone doing that. I like that her tweezing a. Doesn’t hurt b. Is very fast and c. Is always perfect. She is able to give my brows a shape that I never could/​can when I tweeze myself. She listens to what I want and shapes the brows based on my facial structure.
The tint takes maybe 10 minutes and Flami does a great job choosing the color that will look best-​not too light and not too dark. The tint color lasts a couple of months, but I can go longer in the Winter when I’m not out in the sun and shorter in the Summer when I am.
Flami is also incredibly accommodating when scheduling appointments, which is great on weekdays when I am coming during my lunch break.
My Mom also sees Flami and came with tadpole brows but now they are full and beautiful. We are both lifelong customers! Love you Flami!

Flami does the best brows in DC! She only tweezes, never waxes, which is much less irritating to skin and creates much more exact results. She also tweezes the brows in their natural state, without combing them up first, so the result creates beautiful long lines without «holes» in the brow. Additionally, she does gorgeous makeup (you can see pictures of all of her work on her Instagram).
Her studio is gorgeous, clean, and the employees are friendly. Flami not only does brilliant brows, but is a wonderful person to boot. If you want a great overall experience and perfect brows, go see Flami!
Also, her nail technicians are amazing — meticulous and artistic. If you have time, give them a try as well. You won’t be disappointed!

Flami is amazing! I had a terrible experience with a different blow technician 12 years ago and I was too scared to ever let anyone touch my brows again. Despite my nervousness, Flami made me feel comfortable and made my brows look beautiful. Her services aren’t cheap, but she knows what she’s talking about and she will give you the best. Plus, she explains what she’s doing as she’s going along and shows you how to fill in your brows to get the proper look. I highly recommend Flami, and I’m sure you will find it is worth the cost.

I went to Flami a couple of months ago and was aware of the prices, but based on the reviews I figured she would be worth it. The salon was beautiful and Flami is very friendly, as previous posters already said. She explained everything clearly, but during the explanation I realized it was a lot of fluff surrounding simple brow tweesing. When she was done, my brows looked good, but nothing I couldn’t do on my own. Overall I think you’re paying for the atmosphere more than the product, which isn’t for me.

I have to echo the other reviews Flami is excellent. Very professional and knowledgeable. She explains the entire process and why she does tweezing instead of waxing or threading. My first time here after botched brows a few other places was very pleasant. The décor is lovely and upscale. It is pricey but to me well worth the service.

SyMara did my nails… and let me tell you they were FLAWLESS. I got the gel manicure. She really pays attention to details. She made sure that when she was done that they were PERFECT. I will also invite my friends to enjoy the BEST nail experience ever.

Flami is very professional, warm, patient, explains everything she’s doing and tells you the truth about what you’re doing right and what you may want to reconsider. =) She listens to what you’re trying to achieve, provides guidance and let’s you know what your options are so you really feel as if you’re in a real partnership getting your brows styled with her!

Flami the owner seems great and professional. Prices are not listed anywhere. WWhich is interesting. A mani + pedi will run you $ 100. This is not your typical chain Asian owned nail spa. She obviously wants an upscale experience and decoration wise and service wise Flami gives that.
Now the problem is is that Flami does not do the mani/​pedi part and that part is just ok. For $ 100 I want more than just champagne [which was great] I actually do want a great mani/​pedi with maybe a hot stone treatment and a good leg and foot massage. That is not what you get here. It’s superficial and just nail shaping and cutting and painting. That should not cost $ 50.

Flami is a miracle worker! After having my brows botched and destroyed multiple times, a friend recommended Flami, and she did not disappoint. She took the time to walk me through her process and discuss a game plan to regrow my brows. My brows have never looked so good thanks to Flami! She is truly an artist and I HIGHLY recommend her. Her studio is gorgeous and her staff is wonderful too!

I have been seeing Flami for six months now and will never let another person near my brows.
After years of waxing and threading and finding «brow stylists» who do a great job the first few times and then take too much off or leave me uneven, I was ready for something new.
I knew Flami was different from my very first appointment with her. She thoroughly explained what was going wrong with my brows (over-​trimming amongst other things!) and shared her brow shaping philosophy in a way that was friendly, easy to understand, and frankly made sense! I loved that she walked me through her plans and what changes I could expect to see in a given timeline. She only tweezes — no waxing or threading — which gives her full control over what she is doing and really reduced the redness post appointment. She also took the time to show me how to fill and highlight my brows while they were growing in — and instead of up-​selling me on a super expensive brow pencil, showed me a $ 3 gem I ordered from amazon! I also love that Flami doesn’t push you to come every X weeks — she says to come when you feel like you need it, which varies from client to client.
I can honestly say that Flami’s work has transformed my face. I know that sounds like a big statement, but it’s true. I feel more confident, even when I’m not wearing makeup, because I have thick brows that frame my face beautifully. I’ve also noticed that in between appointments by brows are significantly less «messy» than when I was waxing/​tweezing. I wanted to share the love so brought my over-​plucked mom in for an appointment with Flami — a quick color and shaping later, my mom was glowing and felt like a new person, which was so amazing to see.
The cherry on top is that Flami is absolutely lovely and her studio is gorgeous. Frankly I would give her 5 stars regardless because her work is brilliant, but it’s an added bonus that coming to see her is like a mini vacation. She’s adding new services all the time and I’m looking forward to trying more of them out soon.

Flami has inspired me and changed my whole view on makeup after only one visit! As a 56 year old mother of 2 daughters with 6 older brothers, I have never been very good about makeup. As a Mother’s Day gift my daughter scheduled me for an eyebrow appointment. I left FYUBI feeling like a new, rejuvenated, younger and beautiful woman! I cannot wait to go back to have my lashes done. Flami took the time to speak with me and show me options to enhance my natural features. Plus, the studio she has created is immaculate and a complete feel good environment. I love this place! I came here for the first time a few days ago to have my brows done. She did an amazing job! I will be back soon to get a pedicure in one of their luxurious pedicure chairs. The entire studio is clean and feels like a million bucks! It has a Miami feel to it. very nice! Oh and the employees are very friendly and will make you feel like family.

Flami is wonderful! She is very warm and friendly and I always look forward to seeing her. Hew new studio on U St. is super cool. I’ve been going to Flami for brow shaping since 2008, when she was featured in a Daily Candy review. She shapes your brows to your facial structure and listens to you on the style you’d like. She also does beautiful makeup and will always recommend beauty products to try. Love love love her!

Flami reached out to me after my last appointment experience. Because she is extremely talented and I love her studio I decided togo back for a another try. I am glad that I did. Perfect service, and brows getting to where I want them. I will be going back bc Flami is talented. I am visiting from New York and read about Fyubi on POP. It is a very different concept than anything I have experienced. Flammi (the owner) is smart and very charming. The Salon has a very luxurious feel without luxurious prices. The eyebrow tint that she did is transformational.
