I have consistent back and neck issues and see massage therapists a lot so I know the great from the good. When I pulled a muscle and my regular therapist was out of town I was able to make a same day appointment here. It was well worth it and I got one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Pavel is very in tune to the muscles and I felt instant relief. I even got back much of my range of motion after one session. I am grateful I stumbled upon this gem and will definitely be back!

If I could give Pavel 6 stars I would. I am so glad I came here. I’ve been to several massage therapists because of constant tightness in SI joint/​piriformis plus shoulder blade. But, he really got down into working out and focusing on the knots in my muscles that plague me. Definitely felt looser after two sessions and I plan on going back. Pavel also takes the time to understand your issues and shows helpful stretches.

It’s the first time in a very long time that I don’t feel tension or pain around my neck/​shoulder area. For the past several years, I’ve had constant tension around my neck/​shoulder blade area. Then several weeks ago, I woke up with a sharp pull on my neck muscle. Daily tasks like driving, putting on my backpack, or reaching for a cup in the upper cabinet caused a lot of pain.
After reading the Unilocal reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I went for 3 sessions over 3 weeks, feeling significant improvement after each session.
As others mentioned, Pavel is awesome at his job! He is very calm and thorough, feeling, kneading, stretching, and nudging each delinquent muscle fiber back in its correct place. Pavel also took his time in each session to discuss my concerns and progress, and taught me stretch exercises I could do regularly at home or office.

I am amazed by how wonderful my massage with Pavel was. I came to him with a problem that is the source of immense pain and stress for me. He found connections in my body that no other massage therapist or physical therapist has ever found and took an enormous amount of time both to give me the right massage and offer me really helpful advice. I think that he is really amazing. That’s all I can say. Just wish I had found him sooner.

Thanks to the other highly scored reviews, I made a same-​day (!) appointment to help with a very recent neck injury. (Blasted gym bag.) I felt that anything would help – I booked in desperation. I am so overjoyed with the progress that I was made with Pavel in just a half hour – I didn’t think it was possible. He took time to explain the physiology behind the pain and what occurred during the injury, and how to prevent things like that for the future. I agree with an earlier reviewer that he seemed to tailor the massage to the issues I was having, an obvious but not prevalent practice, it seems. I’m not one to regularly see a masseur unless for an injury, and now I’m considering massage as a cumulative treatment option, thanks to Pavel. Highly recommend for injured skeptics… and anyone else considering massage!

Pavel is a very attentive therapist who really works my problematic muscles like nobody else I’ve visited before. I had a very tight lower back muscle that was making it painful for me to sit or turn around, and he isolated and went after the problem. Within a few hours of the massage the pain I had experienced for over a week was gone. He also gives great advice, and his massage table is fully electronic and customizable and the most comfortable massage table I’ve ever been on.

I went to Pavel due to neck and back pain. He really spent a lot of time listening to me and gathering all of the information needed to help him proceed in a way that would best help me. The service I had was very professional and skilled and I felt like it was more like consulting with and being treated by a Doctor. I recommended him to a friend who was having a problem and he is very happy with the treatment he is receiving. I will definitely be back and be recommending him to anyone in need of any kind of massage services. Because of the quality of care I received, I will also return for other massages, not just to address problems. Highly recommend.

I lived in DC for a couple of years already and was always looking for the best massage in town. I wish I have discovered this spot earlier as Pavel has completely changed my life. If you are looking for someone to get a sports massage from to completely restore your muscles and tissue after an intense workout, this is the place to go.

I was looking for a massage therapist that would pay attention to my body rather than attacking it like some other massage therapists had done in the past. I’ve recently become more physically active and found massage therapy to be exactly what my body needed as my muscles and joints have been adjusting to the new activities. Pavel has been amazing. The first appointment was a discussion about what I’ve experienced in the past that has worked, what hasn’t worked, and what issues I was having. Following the conversation, he provided a brief (30 — 45 minute) introductory massage which gave me a feeling of his technique and how he might approach my issues. I’ve been back a few times, as time has allowed, and am looking forward to the next opportunity to meet with him.

Pacha is a highly skilled masseur who is quite passionate about his job. He promptly arrived at my studio with a heated massage table and gave me one of the top three massages I have ever had! As he mentioned in his profile, he listened to my body and adjusted his technique to suit my needs. Unlike other therapists, he is not a clock watcher. While I paid for a 90 minute massage, I was on the table for nearly two hours! I will not hesitate to contact this guy again for a massage. In fact, I will probably hire him on a monthly basis.
I also look forward to getting a massage at his beautiful new studio in Georgetown!

This is the first
review, or any kind of review, I have ever written, except for professional reviews for employees in the past. Normally, I wouldn’t write a review, but this young massage therapist is so extraordinary, it is with great pleasure that I can recommend both his professional ability and his first-​rate personal qualities. I have been working with this young man once a week on average for approximaely three months. I have had massages, Thai, Swedish, etc., not only here in Washington, D.C. but in several states and internationally, and Pavel, without reservations, is the best therapist I have ever had. His commitment to my special needs, that is to say a right shoulder and both knees, is outstanding. He not only uses his hands but his arms as well, with just the correct amount of pressure. I can only speak for myself, but I believe he tailors each massage to each client. I have never had the same massage twice, since my body changes from day to day. He has worked so dilligently with my right shoulder, and continues to think about it, that I would refer to Pavel more, in my case, as a physical therapist. He is not only the best massage therapist I have ever had, but he also has outstanding personal qualities – he is humorous, honest and totally dedicated to his profession. One of his best qualities is the fact that he doesn’t talk during my ninety-​minute sessions; he doesn’t talk unless I direct a comment or question to him. This means I have the solitude that is required to just mentally drift away. This hasn’t been my experience in the past. We have lively conversations before and after each ninety-​minute session, and I always enjoy exchanging ideas with Pavel as he is exceptionally bright and totally aware. Pavel is simply the best.
