After months of remodeling to an older location we re-​opened our doors in June 2015 with a wide selection of craft beer, unique spirits and fine wine.

I was surfing the net for liquor stores with a good beer selection (mainly looking for a place that could give a good recommendation on an IPA for a friend) and this place popped up. I am so glad I decided to stop by! This is now my go-​to liquor store in Georgetown. The store is organized, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, I was immediately helped when I walked through the door and the guy who greeted me was very helpful. They have such a large selection. I knew what I needed to get so I was in and out within 5 minutes. When I have some more time, I’ll be back to browse the shelves more thoroughly.

I noticed the new store on my way home so decided to check it out. When approached I said I was looking around. As I got my bearings I started to ask a couple of questions but the storekeeper barely acknowledged me and instead continued looking at some list. Totally not interested in engaging me. Alrighty then… There are plenty of other liquor stores in upper NW that would appreciate my business… So, not for me.

I just moved into the neighborhood and stopped here for the first time. I’m not sure what more you could ask for in a locally owned beer, wine and liquor store.
The store is really well organized and the selection is quite impressive across the board. The prices seemed completely reasonable on everything I looked at. There didn’t seem to be any of the usual you live in Georgetown so we’re going to mark everything up.
The guy working there, not sure if he’s the owner, but he’s definitely interested in the success of the store, and he was great. He provided recommendations but didn’t push anything too hard and he mentioned some upcoming free tastings that I might be interested in.

What a beautiful store! Stopped in this afternoon to peruse their selection and I was impressed! From small batch DC-​brewed spirits to an extensive whiskey shelf to a huge walk-​in beer room, rotating growler taps, the perfect combination of classic names and boutique wines, I could go on and on… Looking forward to their coming line up of in-​store tastings, and stopping back in for seasonal fall beers. Clean store with knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Looking to send wine to a loved one in the Georgetown area? Look no further! The folks here are super friendly and were more than delighted to help suggest a Cotes De Provence Rose in my budget. Delivery is only $ 5 which is pretty hard to beat! Plus you get to support a local business! All it took was a simple phone call.

Our new go to for beer and liquor in the glover park, georgetown area! Really great selection or liquor for reasonable prices and the craft beer options are awesome. They also have mixers near the front. We still find better wine prices at trader joes but this place certainly has more variety.

Fantastic selection of mainstream and craft beer, wine, and liquor! Well priced and convenient on Wisconsin Ave., Hop Cask & Barrel is a wonderful addition to the Georgetown/​Burleith areas. They also offer delivery via the Drizly app on smartphones, which is super convenient and will definitely be taken advantage of by myself and family.
The owner is very friendly and took a request of mine for a specific wine without hesitation, as well as offered a taste of a wine while I was looking at the selection. Wonderful experience and we’ll be visiting often.
