We are the only DC-owned-and-operated ice cream company specializing in small-batch ice creams with quality ingredients. All of our cream is sourced from South Mountain Creamery in Maryland, a family-owned business that cares about their cows. We create whimsical twists on classic flavors, and will rotate our menu seasonally!

History
Established in 2013.
Victoria Lai, an attorney-turned-icecreampreneur, began making and selling ice cream three years ago from a professional kitchen while working as a presidential appointee at the Department of Homeland Security. Since 2013, Ice Cream Jubilee has been selling its small-batch ice cream through select local markets and its old-fashioned ice cream cart. Ice Cream Jubilee won the People’s Choice Award for Best Ice Cream at the 2013 DC Scoop competition in a field of 19 entrants, and Lai was later offered a space in the growing Yards Park development of Navy Yard. She quit her job and has been pursuing her passion for fine ice cream ever since!

Business Owner
Victoria Lai began making ice cream in her New York City apartment years ago to share with friends and family. After years of perfecting her flavors, studying at the Penn State Ice Cream Short Course, and producing out of DC’s Union Kitchen, Lai took the plunge to open her own store and commit herself to following her ice cream dreams.
«After perfecting my flavors for three years, I am excited to make and serve ice cream at our new scoop shop and to bring more smiles to Washington, D.C.,» says Lai. «I love bringing people together around the joy of ice cream and the challenge of building something new.»
