Ice Cream Jubilee

Great place. Some fantastic new flavor a and some wonderful improvements on the classics. Love it! For the price it’s also a better deal than most places.

Highly recommend! The flavors are creative, the staff is friendly and they can make a wide range of ice cream related things (shakes, etc). Afterwards, take your ice cream and sit by the waterfront less than a block away.

I super love going here and this place always puts me in a good mood! Favorites = Thai iced tea and honey lemon lavender. Lines tend to get long, especially after a Nats game, but it’s worth it.
Definitely try out the original flavors and get your ice cream in a cone. The ice cream really does taste fresh and the employees always seem to be in a good mood, so I feel like it’s a good work environment or at least really great customer service. It’s also nice to support a local business and the only DC-​owned scoop shop.

Yum yum yum is all I can say about this place! There was a long line for ice cream at 9:45 PM on a Sunday night, enough said. I got a scoop of the earl grey lavender and a scoop of the marion berry on a fresh waffle cone that was made right in front of me. The ice cream was creamy, savory, soft and delicious. The waffle cone was warm and scrumptious. Everyone working there had a good attitude and I will definitely be coming back to this spot this summer!!!

I haven’t had ice cream this good since San Francisco! Their flavors are unique and natural and they make a fresh waffle cone for you when you order– thin crispy and delicious! Earl grey lavender was my favorite flavor but you’d be hard pressed to find anything bad here.

What a delicious surprise! The ice cream is smooth, flavorful, not too sweet, and creamy. Since I didn’t personally visit the store I can’t really comment on the service or ambiance. Based on flavor, our tastebuds were happy with each bite. Some of our favorites were Thai Iced Tea, Honey Lemon Lavender, Cookies and Cookie Dough Ice Cream.
I definitely recommend Ice Cream Jubilee!

Came here on a Friday evening. Made the mistake of coming after a Nats game so the line was out the door. It took us about 30 minutes to get our ice cream, but at no fault of the server’s. The ice cream was great, although a little on the pricey side for ice cream. I had to cookies and cookie dough, and blueberry pie flavors. I also had a cookie. Everything was great. Would definitely do less next time, one scoop is plenty! Great ice cream though and also right on the water, so a great place to go for a walk. Will return!

My favorite ice cream place in DC! Be sure to sample the flavors before you decide. They offer fun creative flavors not found in normal ice cream shops. Standouts include the banana bourbon caramel, blueberry pie, caramel popcorn, and darkest chocolate truffle.
My friends and I were in disbelief that the chocolate truffle was a sorbet, considering it was so rich and creamy. It was a shame they didn’t sell this flavor last time I went since the flavors are seasonal.
Lines can go out of the door during peak hours. Took us about 30 minutes from the door to the front, but the wait is well worth it.

My partner and I went to Jubilee for some ice cream after dinner in the area and, overall, it has some pretty interesting flavors and it’s worth a stop.
I would say that this is a ice cream shop only. There is no coffee or café aspect to Jubilee. There is not a bathroom or a place to wash you hands if you get ice cream all over yourself. It’s only about 10 or so chairs inside in case the weather isn’t great.
I tried the caramel popcorn flavor and the cookies and cookie dough. The trial taste of the caramel popcorn was delicious, and very flavorful. But I realized it was kind of a trick when I ordered it, because I basically got the big scoop of vanilla with hardly any caramel or anything mixed in. The caramel aspect is just on top, and that’s where the small trial came from. Wasn’t happy with just a vanilla ice cream, otherwise I would have ordered that.
They had a goat cheese and port flavor which is the kind of think you would expect from a contestant on Chopped. At least they’re trying to do something different.
This isn’t a bad place to stop for an ice cream with flavors you are not exactly going to find at Baskin-​Robbins.

Delicious! Everyone in DC seems crazy about cupcakes, but they should really venture out to Ice Cream Jubilee. They have a variety of unique flavors which the staff are more than happy to let you sample. The caramel popcorn tastes just like the name implies! Slightly sweet and a tad salty. I’m still in awe of how they got that toasty, crisp popcorn flavor in to the ice cream. The coconut lime lychee sorbet was very refreshing and not too tart. It went very well with the dark chocolate truffle, which was very rich and satisfying for a chocolate lover like myself. Perfect place to hang out in the spring/​summer. They have a nice little patio with Adirondack chairs. Unfortunately, Ice Cream Jubilee was a good distance from where I was staying or else I’d be there everyday! There was a steady line of customers even after 9pm, but worth the wait!

I no longer live in DC, which is a shame, because Ice Cream Jubilee is in DC. Actually, if I did live here still, I’d be like 300 lbs. The ice cream here is amazing. You can taste whatever flavor you want, and the staff ALWAYS is super happy to help you out. I asked to taste the «Marion Berry» flavor, and it was delicious. I asked the staff if it was named that because it was so addictive, but all I got back was a smile. Fair.
The flavors rotate based on availability from what I can see, and there are take away pints on which the flavors are handwritten. HANDWRITTEN! crazy pants. I would call them take home pints, but I can see how they wouldn’t make it home if I got one.
Definitely swing by and get yourself an ice cream. All the flavors I’ve tried are rich, and pretty intensely flavored. That’s a great change from anything store bought.
I can see why Victoria and crew have been winning awards and mentions left and right. Great great job!

My favorite ice cream is the cookies and cookie dough but you can’t go wrong! The best time to go to Ice Cream Jubilee in Navy Yard is on a cool night when the Nats are playing. There is no line, no wait for the 2015 Washington City Paper’s Best Ice Shop. Not only is it nice to support local independent businesses, it is a block away from the The Yards Park Dog Park so #georgethecoonhound can go with his pals too! In fact, on most nice days you’ll find a hopeful dog intently waiting for a lick from his ice cream eating owner on the patio. Definitely worth the trip!
GFF (Gluten Free Friends) will be happy to know they list which flavors contain gluten on their website and this is not one of them!

I wanted to try every flavor. But Summer is around the corner so I exercised restraint!
Coconut Lychee Lime (sorbet) perfect Spring or Summer treat if you want something not too sweet.

Caramel Popcorn: Tastes just as it sounds!
Cold Brew Coffee: Such a buzz worthy coffee ice cream, can I eat this to get my caffeine fix instead?!

I can’t wait to come back here and see what other flavors they have to change it up.
Side note: Cookie sundae came with two scoops of ice cream, honestly think it should have been three bc everyone needs enough cookie to ice cream ratio puhlease!

I like this ice cream a whole lot, it’s not too sweet, offers some funky Ben and Jerry flavors like Ice cream, and has some pretty cool kids working behind the counter.
As a little girl in college that worked at an ice cream place, Jubilee is purdy good!

I’m a total ice cream snob but this place gets two thumbs up from me! It was my last but favorite stop while in DC over the weekend for the start of the cherry blossom festival.
The shop is right by the water — I imagine it would be quite lovely to stroll around with a cone during warmer months. The place isn’t big but there are a handful of tables and some chairs outside. They get great light from the floor to ceiling glass which is nice (for photos of course, heh). The ice cream flavors are listed in different fun, bold fonts. The staff was friendly and helpful with samples.
Coming from New York where there are incredible ice cream shops at every turn, Ice Cream Jubilee fits the bill. Their flavors are creative and fun and the two I tried were incredible. Banana bourbon caramel and honey lemon lavender — wow. This was one of the best cups of ice cream I’ve ever had. Generous scoops. You can taste each component in every bite. The ice cream is the perfect consistency. So creamy, smooth and well balanced. My favorite was definitely the honey lemon lavender though — I could eat this everyday.
Glad I got a chance to try some amazing ice cream in DC. It was the best way to end a weekend in DC. Will definitely be back if I am in town again.

No excuse on why it took me this long to make a 15 min drive from my house to here. This ice cream is on another level. Unlike most ice cream/​custard spots, this is SO true to flavor and takes ice cream on a ‘whollllle notha level’. I tried a scoop of honey lemon lavender over a scoop of thai iced tea. Like I ate it in slow motion because it was so good! LOL.
I came last night at 8 pm, an hour before they close. I was the only customer in the store at the time but I’m sure i was because of the cold, brisk weather. I could only imagine the long lines hanging out the door when baseball season revs back up since the Nats stadium is literally right next to it.
The customer service was super friendly allowing me to try flavor before making a decision. I plan to try the gin & tonic next time. Definitely worth 5 stars.

My favorite ice cream joint in the area. If you’re looking for unique flavors that are very palatable, visit Jubilee. The banana bourbon caramel is a fairly popular flavor. There is just a hint of each flavor. It’s the right creamy for an ice cream and not too sweet. Really, it’s a balanced combination.
The honey lavender lemon is my personal favorite. Again, you taste the lavender and lemon evenly. One flavor doesn’t overwhelm the other.
The Thai iced tea tastes just like the drink in ice cream form. Need I say more?

This place takes ice cream to whole ‘nother level…
Every time I come here I feel like a kid in the candy store. The smells, unique combinations and color of interesting flavors keep me coming back! The staff and owner are very friendly and don’t mind if you sample all the flavors (which can equate to a pint itself)…Trust me, they are very generous on the samples because I must have devoured a pint of ice cream samples without even realizing it! It started with one sample and before you know it ended up trying the entire selection…*bashfully speaking.*
My favorites are the:
* Marion Berry — Not too sweet, full of berry flavors. It’s like crack and so addictive… no pun intended. A single scoop in a cup is all you need!
* Banana Caramel Bourbon — Bits of Banana flavor, a strong shot of Bourbon, and Caramel all rolled into one is like heaven.
* Cookies n’ Cookie Dough — Oreo like cookie and Cookie dough smashed all together in a creamy, ice cream. Say What… Major party in the mouth explosion.
PRO TIP: Get a scoop of the Banana Caramel Bourbon & Cookies n’ Cookie Dough in a waffle bowl! You wont regret it. OMG… its a Love Jones! I swear its starts off as simply tasty ice cream that quickly crescendos into giving you mixed flavors and a sensory-​overload of Capt’n Crunch, Honey Bunches of Oats, Coco Puffs and Corn Flakes… all in one bowl! It takes me back to lazy Saturday mornings as a kid, with a huge bowl of cereal, enjoying the Saturday Cartoon line up every time!
In all, great shop, fresh creamy ice cream flavors, sorbet and very reasonably priced for a scoop, cone and/​or my favorite… a «Waffle Bowl with Two Scoops!» If you in need for something to brighten your day year-​round or satisfy the sweet tooth… go here! I leave very happy… every time!

Delicious ice cream for sure! I’ve seen Ice Cream Jubilee mentioned many times and saw it at Parcel Market over the weekend. Being so close, I had to stop by the store front.
There looked to be a child’s birthday party going on so I took my Fresh Minty Chip and Thai Iced Tea ice cream outside on Saturday. What a lovely day to sit outside on the Adirondack chairs (better with the sun) and enjoy the flavors. I also sampled the strawberry white chocolate and coconut lychee lime flavors. I don’t think you can go wrong choosing anything here as each ingredient is highlighted in each flavor and the location offers plenty of outdoor seating by the water.
The person working on Saturday around 1 pm was super friendly. She asked if we wanted samples and at the end gave us a reward card. You can also add sprinkles and bits of waffle cone once you’ve been handed your ice cream.
I agree with others who note that the ice cream tastes high quality and am glad to see it stocked around town at places like Glen’s Garden Market in Shaw. The prices might be a little high but it’s quality you’re paying for. Speaking of which, I think if you order a cone, it costs $ 1.00 more.
They also do sundaes and shakes, sell flavors by the pint, and I believe they had homemade, fresh out of the oven cookies for sale as well.
