You know that feeling when you discover something amazing in your own backyard & you can’t believe you never noticed it? Well, that’s how I felt the first time I found out about this place. I always thought that the only Capoeira spot was the one on Florida Ave. & was happy to learn that this foundation existed. I actually came here for a wedding reception, which was beautiful & such an appropriate location. Now, I’m always looking for ways to brush up on my ‘struggle’ Portuguese, and for new places to work out. So, yay, for me! I like the space, the art, the people… and, of course, the music. Otimo!!!

If you don’t know any portuguese or anything about Capoeira, you will learn it fast here.
Capoeira here is more than what people call the Brazilian «martial art», authentic, challenging, innovative, and always new.
If you want to sweat, learn, play try the classes out.
The only bad thing, no air conditioning, but lots of fans.
