This shop is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something interesting and unique. The owner is from France, and travels abroad to stock his inventory. I found out about the shop because he also cuts hair at Salon L’eau on Saturdays (he’s great at that!). Jean Pierre says what’s on his mind, but I’ve never found him to be rude, just honest. Perhaps he should learn to dissemble a bit. :-)

I’d passed by this store on Metrobus for years and always wondered about its inventory. One day I walked from Dupont Circle toward Wisconsin Avenue and stopped in. I was interested in an expensive, but seemingly high quality, bench, but decided to continue looking at other shops in Georgetown before purchasing. When I asked the owner what time he closed, he shocked me by responding with a question,“Are you really coming back to buy it, or are you just being polite?” That made up my mind for me and I haven’t been back since.
