A big «thank you» to Erin and the team at KKP DC! Faced with an unusual 2,500-page print-​and-​bind job (unusual paper size, uncommon binding style), I visited several well-​rated businesses around DC that are prominently advertised on Unilocal (and Fedex Glover Park; trust me, don’t bother). Not one shop was able to perform the style of binding required (so-​called «perfect binding»). Lucky for me, a more precise Google search yielded KKP. Friendly and professional service, great communication on proofs, fast turn-​around, fair pricing, and a high-​quality product. I will not even consider going anyplace else for similar jobs in the future. Highly recommended!

I have been a client for the last six years and I consider them part of UOTP’s professional services support group. KKP provides excellent and fast service for our mission critical regulatory and compliance jobs. I send all document files via email, the KKDC team produces the finished product boxed and ready for pickup. A typical job would be six 2 to 3 inch binders, printed index tabs, color slip sheets as required, color binder cover and spine, as well as all of the document pages (8 ½ X11 — two sided). KKP’s service and client support starts at the top with the Tom and the team works in the «shadow of the leader» so I get consistent, reliable outstanding service no matter who I contact at KKP DC.

Shout out to Tom and his team at KKDC! I’ve used them twice now for printing foam core posters for work. I needed fast turnaround (production and delivery within 24 hours). I was able to email/​upload my art and get the order completed easily and on-​time. I did call to check-​in a couple times on both, just to be certain my deadlines would be met, but they were friendly and reassuring. And they delivered! Not having to fight traffic or metro to get my job (s) was awesome. Thank you, KKDC for making me look good.

This place has the worst customer service and the staff is incompetent.

I wanted to print a photo for someone for a special gift and then print three additional photos.
I went to Kwik Kopy and told the man there that these were the four images and that I wanted each of them printed. I even showed him my favorite and indicated that that photo would be framed.
I picked up the photos and he had only printed three of the four and the third photo he printed twice.
The gift was ruined.
I went back in and he actually tried to charge me for correcting his mistake.
I explained why I wouldn’t and was ready to leave when he started to insist it was MY MISTAKE. His manager then walks in-​not HAVING HEArD the conversation and tells me not to argue. WTF that’s not how you manage!
Do yourself a favor and don’t go here – they will mess up your order and then blame you. No customer service!

We visited Kwik Kopy on April 18^th (Good Friday) for help completing passport applications for our 4 children after the Tenleytown post office informed us that (1) their camera for passport photos was broken and (2) they would not accept our application forms because they were printed double-​sided. A quick run across the street for photos and high quality color copies, and bingo! — 15 minutes later we were all set. Thanks Ece and Tom!

I’m going between 4 and 5 stars, but either way I highly recommend. Here’s my story.
I am not a professional publisher or designer or anything. Two weeks ago I was overseas and learned that two friends, UN workers, had been killed in Somalia. After a couple of days of shock and grief, I decided I wanted to do something with a t-​shirt commemorating them — and I wanted to wear it in a race I was doing that Sunday. Granted this was a tall order. I contacted probably a dozen printing tee shirt places and most of them weren’t interested, said it couldn’t be done, or couldn’t even understand what I was talking about. I spent about 2 days back and forth playing phone tag with Kwik Kopy because between the time change and traveling back to the U.S., I was never able to phone when they were open. But I was pleased with their patience and persistence.
We ended up emailing quite a lot on the Friday before. I sent the designer the names and dates of my friends’ birth and death dates, and the UN flag logo and a broken heart. The designer was fantastic. He made the broken heart more subtle and placed it inside the UN logo instead of the usual continents that are usually in it, with my friends’ info below. It was absolutely beautiful. They originally were going to deliver it but this process went too late into Friday so they couldn’t. I ended up hiring a courier to pick it up on Saturday so I could wear it Sunday. I should also note that their prices were much cheaper than I would have expected for a design, printing of one single tee shirt.
However, they had a problem with the printing apparatus and emailed me after-​hours Friday, letting me know. They weren’t able to correct it by Saturday morning, so, disappointed, I cancelled the courier and asked them to also contact the courier to let them know (I wasn’t in an area of cell phone access during the business hours so I wanted to make sure all bases were covered). I understand — these things happen, and I appreciated their keeping me updated. They told me that since I had the design I could just take it somewhere else and get it printed. I didn’t want to do that — it was their design and their work, and I didn’t feel it was right to do that. Later on, I saw an email that they had been able to fix the apparatus and had printed my shirt. I saw it too late — I was out of email range for most of Saturday — and so I didn’t get it in time to wear on Sunday for the race. But I emailed them and told them I wanted the shirt anyhow, even though I didn’t get it until after. They delivered the shirt personally to me downtown in my office, and told me they weren’t going to charge me for it — I didn’t think that was right either. They did end up cutting me a break on the price because they didn’t come through in the (very abbreviated) timeframe that we had agreed upon.
But that’s not why I am giving them 4 – 5 stars — it’s because from the beginning, they were willing to work with me and treat me just as an important client would be treated even thought I was just little old me. And they came up with a beautiful design, and moved heaven and earth to fit the basically impossible timeframe I needed the shirt in. And then felt bad when they promised it and it seemed like they wouldn’t be able to deliver. And throughout excellent communication.

I am a freelance designer who has worked with many print vendors in the past. Unfortunately, this experience was nothing but a nightmare.
I worked with them to print some folders and one sheets, and what should have taken no more than a couple weeks, took a couple months. I was promised both folders and one sheets within a month, and had to wait nearly two. During this time, I was constantly having to reach out for updates, rather than them keeping me informed of what was going on. And when I began to get impatient and ask questions, instead of an apology, I was given attitude in return, saying how it wasn’t their fault for taking so long.
In the end, the folders had to be reprinted twice due to printing errors, and the final product was delivered nearly a month after I was promised. Needless to say, this process was excruciating and caused nothing but headaches. Please proceed with caution if you decide to work with them.

My company had a fantastic experience dealing with the team at Kwik Kopy DC. I was in search of a flyer for handing out to potential customers and listing our companies products. They held our hand and helped us develop a tri-​fold «marketing brochure» that we had no idea how to do. Everyone there was very patient with me and my staff in getting the required information. The results were a brochure telling our corporate story and touching on our products and services. All this came at a reasonable price with on time delivery.
