This is NOT a place to buy yarn or supplies, but a group that gets together to meet at a near-by Starbuck’s. Don’t be disappointed like I was after walking 1.5 miles to find they are NOTTHERE!

I was given a Groupon ad a gift for 101,102&201 by a friend who knew that I wanted to make a sweater, but was very intimidated by the idea. I’m a self-taught knitter using books and the Internet. When I went to class explain what I want to do to Terri, and she helped me and I have been making much more complicated patterns since then. I go every Sunday when I can and I always have a great time & I met a great group of women in the process. I can’t wait for the next project. Terri was very patient with my questions, sometimes the same one multiple times. If you forget your stitch markers, don’t worry someone will have them.

In the summer of 2013 I moved from the UK to Washington DC. In an effort to make friends and get out the house when I knew I would not be working for a while I decided to look for classes on groupon. For the insanely cheap price of $ 130 dollars or so i got to have two official knitting lessons and as much sit and knit as I could possibly want. I started in September when classes started again after the summer and pretty much went to every sit and knit I was entitled too go to every sat and sun from then untill I left DC to move to Cali in June 2014. I miss sit and knit and the expertise and friendships I made at this class. I not only got my monies worth but gained even more in friendship and life long skills. I made fingerless gloves, scarves(5 in total) a bear and am now working on a bedside mat. I believe some people have had some issues below which quite frankly leave me perplexed — How can something be a scam if you get your money back from groupon? This is a one woman show, which pretty much means if something comes up then things might not happen. Thats just the way it is when you run a small business by yourself. The number of times I witnessed people coming to class not reading what they needed to bring or where they needed to meet were so numerous and somehow this was never their fault. Take responsibility for yourselves please people. You are an adult!

If I could give a negative amount of stars I would! The previous reviewer is correct. This is some kind of a scam. I wanted to take a knitting class here and called to ask about the schedule. Instead, the owner who can best be described as insane started asking me what my 75 year knitting goals are and what my next 50 knitting projects will be. I don’t have 50 knitting projects. I HAVE a life. When I told her that I don’t have a program in mind, she told me the class is not a good fit??? And still didn’t tell me her schedule. Which, btw, is also not available on her website. This is probably because she doesn’t have one and because this entire venture is a large SCAM!!!
