Kate Tallent Design is a full-​service communications and design studio based in Washington, DC. Our small team of graphic designers believes in big ideas, and we have established a record of projects that stand out and spark action for our clients. We take a strategic approach and collaborate with our clients to create visuals that reflect their vision, appeal to their aesthetic and exceed their expectations.

Our work is intelligent, relevant and emotionally engaging. At our design studio you will not find account executives. We work directly with clients to create custom web design, search engine marketing strategies, annual reports, identity systems, exhibit design, content management systems and more.

History

Established in 2005.

Founded in January 2005, KTD is a small, boutique-​style firm that quickly assembles teams to fulfill project needs. KTD’s principal, Kate Tallent, has 15 years of graphic design experience; she provides creative direction to the team and oversees all projects. Our studio, conveniently located in Washington’s Dupont Circle, is welcoming to clients. This tight-​knit team of dedicated designers works closely with clients, ensuring you receive direct, personalized attention.

Meet the Business Owner

Kate T.

Business Owner

Kate founded KTD in January 2005. As principal of KTD, she has worked with more than 100 organizations. As creative director, Kate is responsible for the strategic direction of all marketing, branding, web design, print design and web development. Kate rolls up her sleeves and designs both interactive and print projects as well.

An award-​winning graphic designer, Kate has worked in the communications field since 1996. Kate graduated from Towson University (B.S. in Fine Art concentrating in printmaking) and the University of Baltimore (M.A. in Publications Design, a unique program combining writing and graphic design).

Kate has taught both graduate and undergraduate design classes at The University of Baltimore, American University and Towson University. In her free time she runs, has a recalcitrant vegetable garden, seeks the perfect cup of coffee, watches film and trys to fit in some bikram yoga.
