There an hour long, you get to come behind the bar execute cocktail creations with our master barman as your drink sherpa! We have revolving themes such as «five essencial cocktails everyone should know» or «the lowdown on bitters» enjoy drinking your creations (booze included) & you get to go home with your own recipe book !!
Being bartender owned, our professional classes are set above any industry standards. We offer multi level core coricalium with manditory internships & worked bar hours to advance.
There are continuing education day long specialty classes that constantly change like «sorbets» or another example, «everything sweet» covering sugar production processes and types. Honey grades, types and exotics. Maple syrup grading and use. Agave necter, sorguhm, molasses, stevia ext. Established in 2010.
We just changed locations from Alexandria, VA to Washington DC. So far we’ve had an 87 percent higher rate for our students! We’ve been invited to speak at the Smithsonian and do a lot of charity cocktail demonstrations & even gotten to work with the Food Network & Bar Rescue!

Hello, I’m Jesse Dean, owner of Libations Bar School, and I love cocktails, spirits, teaching and talking about them. I’ve work my way around the U.S. bartending everywhere from «hole in the walls» to casinos, nightclubs, resorts, pubs, hotel & fine dining. While traveling and bartending, I wound up going to tea school, wine (sommellier) school, herboligy and culinary (the same one as Bobby Flay) school. not because I was wanted to do something else but because I could see their application behind the bar!
So when it comes to teaching you about bartending, I have a really wide skill range I know the intimate details about the job & love teaching them to you, so come by and see me!
