Too many homeless people. I sat down to eat my food and the young Hispanic girl told me that she is cleaning the seats and the table so I had to sit somewhere else. The tables and stools looked clean so thats why I sat there. It took her 20 minutes to wipe the table off and the seats, but you never make a customer move from eating because its unsanitary and delivers poor service, especially if you are wiping the stole and the table with the same towel. I go find a seat elsewhere, and the table is filthy and the lights are broken and theres a dust pan and a broom on the floor with trash right next to me. Juanita should have been cleaning that instead of making people move!

It’s your generic McDonald’s without the luxury of a drive-thru. It’s on the small side but each time I come here the food is quick and without fault.

3.5 stars Why review a McDonald’s? You can’t always review the White House or Smithsonian. The 13th at F Street Golden Arches is in the shadow of the White arches and marble of the Federal buildings. It is a short walk from the White House, National Mall, and downtown Washington DC points of interest. We were walking back from the National Mall in the late afternoon, when we were up for a snack. I have found out that when you are travelling with somebody and they say that they want a snack around dinner time, what they are really insinuating is that they are up for fast food. Not all McDonald’s are created equal. A couple of blocks north of this Golden Arches is one at 13th at New York Avenue. I wanted to eat there. But my dad said it had a bad vibe. This one would of made for a nostalgia review, BECAUSE going back to 1983 when I was a sixth grade student visiting Washington DC, this was the very first McDonald’s that I went to that served mustard on a cheese burger. With that said, if you are traveling from the northeast and expect just ketchup on a cheeseburger, the Washington DC locations in similar fashion to the McDonald’s in the South add mustard to the cheeseburgers. At any rate, the very first McDonald’s that served me mustard on a cheeseburger has a bad vibe over 30 years later and subsequently we’d eat in this very McDonald’s. Years since my 1985 Washington DC field trip, and five US Presidents later, McDonald’s has changed. The chicken nuggets have become popular, McDonald Land has seemed to fallen from the face of the Earth, and McDonald’s had opened plush locations like this one. This Golden Arches gave a positive fibe. The inside was more swanky than fast food. The seating, texture, and interior felt like an extension of an upmarket Las Vegas casino. Cleaniness permeated the spaces of the lobby. When I read Unilocal reviews on this location, it was hard to believe that this location had been here for a long time and it was remodeled. I ordered the chicken McNugget meal. After a day of exploring in the Nation’s Capital, they hit the spot. A few paragraphs previous I discussed the McDonald’s a few blocks up 13th Street being the first one to serve mustard on my cheeseburger. This McDonald’s would be the first at something better. This is the first McDonald’s that included a complimentary chocolate chip cookie with our meal. It’s the small things like this that I appreciate and make me up a McDonald’s review from 3 to 3.5 stars. You cannot always review national landmarks including the Capitol and Washington Monument. Sometimes, after a day of exploring in a city, dinner in the Golden Arches hits the spot.

This was one of the fancy-wanna be McDonald’s. But the customer service is horrible. Cashier had the attitude. Didn’t even greet me. Didn’t even ask me for her-to go. Then the girl handing out the food was complaining the whole time I was waiting for my food that she’s been there since 4am and got to go. When I visited it was around 1:40pm.

Perhaps this is the busiest McDonald’s in downtown DC. It is a short walk from WMATA’s Metro Center subway station. Orders are taken quickly and processed as fast as possible. The recently remodeled dining area can accommodate a crowd any time of day.

Well, it’s McDonald’s so there isn’t much that needs to be said about the food. We all know what it is… deliciously toxic! My philosophy is all things in moderation and McDonalds is definitely on my list of guilty pleasures. This location is one I haven’t been to in years. The last time I was here it looked like a war zone. It was totally filthy and a hangout spot for sorts of sketchy folks. When I walked in today, I was shocked. It’s super clean with an ultra modern décor. The staff was very friendly and even gave me a little caramel on my free hot fudge sundae… YUM!!!

Most of the reviews here are pretty old — this McD’s has been renovated(and it needed it), so it seems much cleaner. The workers are also very focused on their jobs, whether that is taking orders, cleaning the dining area, making food back in the kitchen or running the orders. Have never gotten any of my orders wrong and you definitely can’t beat the prices(although I do wonder how you can offer a double burger or chicken sandwich for $ 1). One level, sufficient seating. Time to give this place another try.

Great spot, right around the corner from Metro Center. They move quickly to get you in and out for breakfast and lunch. My coffee(Caramel Latte) is almost always perfectly made and I am very picky about my coffee. There are times that I go to Starbucks and it’s like they don’t know what extra sweet means. This Mickey D’s got it down pack. Food is always hot and fresh. I will try the fries soon and let y’all know how they are. ;-)

It’s McDonald’s. You’re not getting gourmet food — and you shouldn’t be expecting it. No, I come here for quick, easy, cheap and consistent. So how do they stack up? Not so great. They recently renovated this location, so at least it looks nice, but that’s about where the compliments end here. Staff is acceptably friendly, especially for such a busy restaurant, but they have some shady practices here. Many, but not all McDonald’s locations will allow you to swap your coffee in the breakfast meals for a juice — either for free or for a small fee. This one does not. They charge you full price for the juice and just don’t give you the coffee you paid for. The prices listed on the board are for the«medium» sized meals, but the default size they will give you is large. Some employees will ask you what size you want. Others will not. Make sure you specify. There are no dispensers for anything except for straws in the dining room. No ketchup; No salt; No napkins. Make sure you ask for whatever you need when you receive your order — and make sure everything is in there. Despite asking what sauce you want for your nuggets, they *never* include it when initially handing you your order.

Agree with previous reviewers that this McDonalds is super yipes. There always seem to be a high number of mentally ill people here and I find it a little scary. There is nothing wrong with having homeless hanging out in McDonalds(there are lots at the one right next to my work too) but the ones here for some reason are really aggressive and appear to have severe mental problems whereas the ones at my McDonalds are just sitting around or getting food. Earlier this week I was starting to enter this McDonalds and was actually chased away by some mentally ill guy who lunged towards me babbling some crazy nonsense. He looked kind of like one of those occupy wallstreet guys with the long disheveled hair hippy look and came out of nowhere. It was really creepy. I had actually heard yelling as I was approaching the place and was wondering where it was coming from but since this McDonalds is a little hidden under an overhang did not notice it was coming from their door. Anyway, if you are in the mood for McDonald’s and don’t feel comfortable with this one, there is one at H and 13th just a few blocks up. I highly recommend that one over this one because you never really know what to expect here in terms of clientele.

Incomptent and totally disorganized. I honestly have no idea how this place stays in business. I only went there because I wanted a milkshake before a concert at the Warner. At 6:30PM, the height of the dinner rush, they had ONE register open and that cashier had to double on all of the food prep too! I ordered a chocolate shake and after 5 minutes I was given a strawberry shake. At that point I didn’t care anymore so I took it. I overheard several other customers upset over bungled orders. All this and you can be guaranteed that at least one homeless person will either be sitting at a table babbling or panhandle you. Next time I go to the Warner I’m sticking with BK or ANY other place!

Went here on 1÷14÷12 after walking all over creating with 5 guys from work. It was FREEZING outside and it was after 9PM. There were no open coffee shops in the area, so we ended up at McDonald’s. There wasn’t a wait, but there were bums inside and one of the windows is completely busted out. If you need a drink, go some place else during the day or plan accordingly at night.

My 2nd downtown McDonald’s review(first being the FBI McDonald’s)… I love McDonald’s… there are McDonald’s that would earn 5 stars from me… this is again not one of them. Pros: — Convenient — On average, fills the fries up a little better than the FBI location Cons: — There is a massive crowd during lunch that forms around the registers. It’s not really clear who is in line and who has ordered. You may have to push your way around to get your food. — Above average # of homeless inside asking for money. I’ve even seen one sitting down at any/every table with a free seat while asking for cash. — No ketchup set out(could it be related to the above item? they used to leave it out…) This means you need to push back through the crowd if you forgot to ask for some ketchup when your food came out. Sometimes they ask how many packets you’d like(as opposed to the usual handful approach) as though they are pinching pennies. Someone please ask for some random number like 153 and let me know how they respond…

I reluctantly went into this Mickey D.‘s today. Ugh. The local downtown drunk homeless guy who gets in your way and sticks his hand out for change was just leaving. Ugh. And I, like Vonetta Y., was afraid to touch the door handle. Ewwww! Fortunately, someone else was coming out and I could just ‘bow my way in. Inside, I was not that much happier. In spite of the«touch screen» the cashiers have, the numbers of the meals, and the easy translation of number eight(ven I can say«numero ocho por favor») fast food has become much slower. Today, unfortunately, I was not getting my numero ocho. I wanted to try a sugar free vanilla iced coffee. Ugh. It was all milk so I asked for more coffee, y’know, so it would look like the add. Why was that a federal case? I had even sipped it down a bit so she could just pour more coffee in. But noooooooooooooo. She had to go and dump the whole thing out, discuss something loudly in Spanish(with waving arms and everything) with the McDonalds lady in the blue button down blouse, and totally remake the coffee.(did she think I couldn’t see her?) Then she comes back with my coffee and tells me to the iced coffee comes with 4 creams. I had no idea. She could have told me that from the beginning and saved the histrionics.

Every single time I walk in and out of this McDonald’s, I utter the words, «I f*cking hate McDonald’s!» and vow to never go again. Problem is, it’s across the street from my second job and it’s the only fast food place around… and it’s cheap. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t have a problem with McDonald’s in general. But this one in particular features characteristics unlike any other, such as hip-hop music blasting from speakers nowhere to be found(I’m like, seriously, if I wanted to go clubbing, do you think I would be in McDonald’s right now?). When I wait 10 minutes for preprepared fries to just be put in a bag, I question, saying, «Now wait now, I thought this was supposed to be FAST food.» And perhaps the employees were working so quickly earlier in the day that they’ve lost steam by the time I go. Must be something like that because I’ve never seen people move so slowly. LITERALLY. And, oh yeah – I’m afraid to touch the handle of the door, for fear of contracting syphilis. Okay okay, I shouldn’t knock them completely. The sweet tea is pretty good. And cheap.
