Dr. Miknowski has been my doctor for more than 10 years. He is both an internist and a rheumatologist. He has excellent diagnostic skills. He starts by asking a lot of questions to find out symptoms and to get all the background information that he needs. And then he will decide what if any diagnostic tests he will need to order. His testing is to the point and he explains the reasons why he is doing the tests. At the end of your visit he will usually bring you back to his office where he will explain it all clearly. It isn’t too difficult to get an appointment with him. But sometimes you have to be persistent on the phone. But it is all worth it. Dr. Miknowski is an old school, but knowledgeable gem!

Dr. Miknowski is a fantastic doctor. He’s thorough, but doesn’t over medicate or over treat. He’s a patient listener, but in the end«tells it like it is» without being rude or off-putting. He’s excellent about quickly following-up with calls and questions. I have complete confidence in his ability and I’ve always felt he’s genuinely concerned about my health and well-being. I may have had one or two times of excessive time in the waiting room, but emergencies happen and that’s over a 10+ year period; not bad by today’s standards.

I am still sitting in the exam room right now waiting to be seen by anyone(a doctor or a nurse… I don’t care at this point) even though my appointment was scheduled for an hour and a half ago. And this is an early morning appointment no less. I opened the door to look around to see if the office had been taken by a rogue plague… A man said it would be 2 minutes. That was 20 minutes ago. I’ll be looking elsewhere for a PCP after a visit to Dr Miknowski/Dr Taubin’s office.

He seemed competent enough, but when he suggested that I might have a chronic autoimmune disorder, I understandably asked for some follow-up information about the disease. His response: «Google it».
