Best spine doctor ever. I saw the bad reviews on here, so i had to chime in because my experience with Dr. Moskovitz has been so great. I have a herniated disc in my neck and have seen many docs over the past 10 years. Dr. Moskovitz is the only one who has ever spent a significant amount of time with me. The first time we had an appointment, he spent a solid 45 minutes going over xrays, mri’s, etc. His bedside manner is great and really puts you at ease. He backs it up with extensive knowledge, and he does what none of my other doctors have done… He spends enough time to answer questions, dive deep, and figure out what the best course of treatment is. I’ve referred a bunch of my friends to Moskovitz, and they have all had great things to say about their experience as well. So I’m not sure what’s up with the other reviewers… If you’re just looking for pills, he probably isn’t the doc for you. But if you want great medical care, look no further.

I had terrific back pain and this doctor was very abrupt and curt with me – essentially telling me that the pain was psychological. I went to another orthopaedic doctor who told me I had serious kypho scoliosis with a spine curvature of over 55 degrees! Moskovitz didn’t even take an Xray…

Dr Moskovitz is kind and attentive and very very smart. I ruptured several disks in my lower back and he performed a laminectomy on me a few days after my injury. I brought an MRI result to his office during my first appointment and he helped me understand how serious and dangerous my injury was and urged me to not put off the operation. In the hospital he kept my family updated and gave me clear instructions on recovery and PT. I healed just as he said I would. There are still some lingering problems(numbness in a few little toes on one foot) but all of that is way better than the mind-altering pain I had with my injury. He’s been responsive for follow-up questions in the year that has passed. I’ve recommended friends to him. I like it that there is an x-ray machine in his office for quick films. I also like how each patient room has a computer for viewing past MRIs and X-rays, other tests, and records.

If you need a good orthopedist to tell you what your problem is, don’t go to Peter Moskovitz. Moskovitz will tell you what he THINKS is wrong with you but will not use technology to confirm it. I have had lower back and hip pain for a few months now and when I went to see Moskovitz he told me I had a herniated disc after seeing my x-rays. The thing is, you can’t tell whether a disc is herniated by looking at x-rays, only a MRI can confirm that. Therefore, if Moskovitz had good work ethics, he would’ve ordered a MRI to confirm my condition even if he was 100% sure of what I have. In my neurologist’s words, «in the 21st century, a doctor has to confirm a diagnosis.» Moskovitz not only didn’t order a MRI for me, he denied it when I asked if I should get one and said I should only have a MRI if I want surgery. In the end, my wonderful neurologist ordered one for me. And what do ya know, after the MRI results came back, it showed that my discs are absolutely fine, that there are no structural damages. Somebody once told me that Moskovitz was the president of some orthopedic association, but to me he’s just a greedy and irresponsible doctor who wanted me to go back multiple times to get my money.
