I had a terrible experience and so did my friend. We went to get our hair straightened on separate occasions and the press didn’t last a day. I wasn’t satisfied even before I left the store. They are not good with natural hair. Unfortunately my friend told me about this place not being so good, but I went for the convenience of the location. Never again.

This is a decent salon. Sometimes the service is slow but Ghennet does hair well. I’ve had cuts, color, and wash and curls. I’ve been satisfied with the styles I have received. The salon is not really within walking distance of a metro station, but there is a bus stop directly out front. Parking isn’t hard in the evenings after 4pm. If service wasn’t slow at times I would go for 5 stars.

I’ve been a client of Ghennet’s for almost 8 years. The owner is by far one of the sweetest people I ever met. As I said 8 years!!! I followed her from her old salon where she worked as a stylist to her new salon which she owns. Actually I am a returning client. I left the city for almost 1 ½ ago and upon my return to DC I quickly made an appointment. She is by far one the best weave stylist in the city. She is extremely reasonable and has excellent rates especially for the Howard Students. Don’t be fooled.
