Food is good. But they put way too much onions in the home fries and they are not sautéed. You get more onions than you do potatoes. Someone really made the onions extra big this time..

biscuits and gravy has always been a meal that holds a special little place in my heart, so when i saw they were served here i got pretty excited. the pay-by-weight setup works well and makes it fun. i selected two biscuits with gravy. it was only $ 3.15! for the price, the food and selection is incredible.

This deli served as my lunch spot during a conference at the nearby Renaissance. A place like this is required close by to a conference where everyone is looking for a place to eat, and it hit the spot. However… At least 2 hummus packages were expired. Without thinking, I opened mine and started eating it and found that it tasted lemony. I looked at the date and noted it was expired. Usually hummus can maintain its freshness a few days after the expiration date, which leads me to believe that in this case, the water(ice was melting) that it was sitting in was not the adequate temperature to maintain freshness. Due to the large volume of patrons during lunch, food on the buffet bar was running out quickly. I would have liked to see more food put out so that you didn’t feel obligated to take what you really didn’t want. I didn’t find the buffet items to be «great» but the taste of most items was enough to hit the spot. There was in fact, variety, too. The meatballs, however, were a bit questionable. I liked the fact that outdoor seating was available. There was no problem receiving refunds for the expired hummus, thankfully. I went back the following day at 1pm and everything was already gone from the buffet bar. I was rather disappointed. A required establishment near hotels that will continually make money due to the demand, but there is definitely some room for improvement here.

Convenient, hot food right off Gallery Place Chinatown Metro stop. Grill line omelette is decent for 6 bucks and some change with homefries and toast.

«New World» as us regulars call this location know it to be our go to coffee, breakfast, & lunch location before/during/after meetings. We tend to have a love & hate relationship with New World because they’re not the healthiest unless you make an effort to order breakfast items like their egg white omelet(comes with home fries & toast though). Their asparagus is fantastic as well. If you are looking to cheat on your diet or just enjoy food then they do have some acceptable food. The cooks at the grill are entertaining some mornings when they have time to sing & chat. New World can get extremely busy because they are located between various office buildings and near construction sites.

Quick and easy… Nice for a change from typical fast food.

If you’re on a bit of a budget, this place is a great spot. You get a pretty hefty breakfast special for $ 4.99 and a nice array of hot dishes for lunch starting at $ 6.95-ish. Breakfast hot dishes starts at around $ 5.95-ish for a variety of food like french toast, pancakes, turkey sausages, etc. The quality can be a toss-up, however. On some days, the food is quite fantastic. On other days, I think that the food was on the receiving end of a cook’s bad day. My co-workers love the quesadillas and lemon chicken. I love the stir-fried vegetables and the fruit. So definitely try this spot out for a quick bite that won’t cost you a gazillion dollars.

Been to this place many times b/c it’s very close to work. Another reviewer hit the nail on the head: if you’re going to eat the buffet-style food, I’d get there early. I don’t think the majority of their buffet-style food is particularly healthy, but if you need something quick, it’ll do. The grill at the back is better; the cooks have been there a while. I usually have a chicken sandwhich, sometimes corned beef. No complaints. They make breakfast, too. I’ve noticed small fruit flies around their fruit in the morning — specifically, the buffet-style fruit. Call me paranoid, but that’s the main reason I don’t buy that fruit anymore. It’s packed at lunch. From a quality perspective, Phillips Café(across the street) clearly wins. From a variety perspective, this place is pretty good. Closes pretty early, too.

My review is biased because our other options was the overpriced Starbucks or hotel restaurant at the Rennaisance. But we were pleasantly surprised by this spot — the folks there were very nice, they had a decent hot breakfast bar and bakery, and nice coffee.

This is your typical all-in-one coffee, breakfast, lunch-by-the-super-expensive-pound café that can be found all over this city. They have a few different flavors of coffee, which is nice, and plenty of flavored creamers. Their breakfast buffet is hot and contains a whole bunch of options(most unhealthy), as well as donuts, bagels, muffins, and fruit. You can also get egg sandwiches, but they are greasy and, to be frank, just plain suck. For lunch they roll out the freshest deviled eggs, sesame spinach salad, and not-so-authentic sushi roles Sysco has to offer. They have a hot bar too, but most of that sucks too. Do yourself a favor and go to Café Phillips just north of Eye on 7th street for a much better coffee, breakfast, and fresh sandwich shop.

I stopped by this café/deli during a lunch. There’s a salad bar, but not the toppings-style salad bar, but different salad-types, like pasta, tuna, greek, veggie-salads, etc. There’s also a little section with Chinese foods(fried rice, white rice, dumplings, kung pao, orange chicken… the orange chicken was better than kung pao, btw) and american foods like meatballs, turkey, fried fish, etc. There’s a pretty decent fruit section that actually looked fresh. It’s a total hodgepodge of food in the buffet section. They also have a small selection of asian snacks at the registers, and there’s a deli for breakfast foods & sandwiches toward the back. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating, which is nice on sunny days. It’s definitely a place were the food is better the earlier in the day it is. I went around 230p and you could tell that it was toward the end of the day. The place closes around 4pm I think, so the selection wasn’t as good, despite the variety. The place is run by Koreans, so the fried rice & dumplings were more Korean-Chinese style, rather than actual Chinese, but I doubt most non-Asian people notice. I love it, but I’m Korean so I’m biased. When I go again, it’ll definitely be earlier in the lunch hour.
