Great family operated barber shop. Antonio was friendly and gave a pretty decent cut for a good price. I didn’t realize it was cash only, so I had to run to an ATM to get cash. I was embarrassed and offered to leave my license while I was gone, Antonio was very kind and let me go on the honor system. I’ll definitely be back!

Finally got the worst hair cut. In and out under 10 mins by an older Barber. He clearly has no skills. I asked for a very simple hair cut. Number 2 down to 1 on the sides and lower back and not to touch the top!!! Guess what? He cut 3 inches off the top! He didn’t even give me a chance to look at the sides all he did was he held the mirror far away from my face to show me the back. When i got home i found 3 holes on the sides that is not blended and it looks all crooked uneven. So bad i actually laughed! Now i know what its like when people say that some barber just don’t listen! I thought it was a pretty straight forward instruction. 2 – 1 sides and back don’t touch the top and he still didnt get it. Wtf! If you gonna go here go with the younger looking barber he looks like he knows how to do it better.

The barber shop is upstairs, the salon downstairs. I had recently moved to Mt. Pleasant and needed a new barber in the neighborhood when I decided to give Pan American a try. Antonio is a sweet old guy who moved here and lived the American dream; now the changing neighborhood means his shop has a lot less customers. I didn’t get the greatest haircut ever, but I didn’t pay for that, either. I got a solid haircut from a decent man with old-school skills, plus a friendly chat, all for about twelve bucks, plus tip. Give Antonio a shot if you’re in the neighborhood; I’m sure he’d appreciate it.

Usually cut my own hair… but it was time for a professional. Received a great haircut for a responsible price. Didn’t even have to ask for a touch-up…it was perfect as is. Great job Antonio.

If I saw the words«beauty shop» I probably would’ve kept walking. But I’m glad I didn’t, the Pan Americana [Beauty and] Barber shop is a huge barber shop that occupies two floors inside a converted house. For $ 12 you get a good cut and a nice conversation.
