I think this was one of our last stops for the day. The prices were okay, though I won’t say they were the best we saw. Their selection unfortunately was not very good. I don’t think I will be going back here, I truly don’t see a need to.

The GF and I spent our Saturday afternoon walking around G-town and the West End after our lunch. One of our objectives for the afternoon was to scope out the various liquor stores for price and selection. Pan Mar Wine & Liquors was our last stop of the day. Unfortunately, the best was definitely not saved for last. Pan Mar’s staff was friendly and helpful. They had competitive prices but only a serviceable selection. Pan Mar lacked many of the premium and super-premium brands that are available in the other liquor stores in the vicinity. In the end, Pan Mar is not at the top of my list for finding my spirit needs.

This is one of three George Washington University liquor stores. They all may card a little bit, but you can usually talk the shop into selling you something as long as you can see over the counter. The best part about this liquor store is that they deliver, but be wary they charge a hefty premium compared to the other ones around campus. If your just buying a 30 rack for a night of boozing go somewhere else, but if your buying several bottles of liquor, go here they usually give you a discount if you do a little bartering. And don’t worry, your ID doesn’t have to match your credit card.
